you had stayed up pretty much the whole night finishing some work for Carolina, she had called again once you got home to remind you. she also asked how your vacation was going, it felt nice to talk to someone about it since Aria was also absolutely swamped with work but you ended up cutting the call short since she was distracted you
30% of the work was finally done, and you got to sleep at least a couple hours but your slumber was broken by..
"y/n, wake up ! i have interviews" you heard lizzie call from behind your door after knocking a few times, you grumbled at the thought of getting out from under the blankets and going out into the brisk morning New York air
"come on.." lizzie said again as she opened your door slightly and peeked in, the sliver of light from the door crack hitting you right in the eye, "oh sorry"
lizzie made her way into your room, closing the door behind her to make the room nice and dark again. she stepped over shoes and some outfits that had been carelessly thrown on the ground before she finally made it to the bed, she chuckled as she saw you completely cocooned in the blankets
"i'm so tired" you said, it muffled by the big duvet
"guess i'll just be lonely today..." lizzie trailed off, pretending to leave the bedside
"wait" you said quickly, your hand emerging from under the covers and grabbing her wrist before she could get too far, "i'll get up"
"you have thirty minutes" she said as your grip loosened and she walked out of the room
lizzie stepped into her own room, looking into the ensuite mirror. she smiled, excited to spend the day with you. she heard you all night typing on your laptop and groaning annoyingly, she hated Carolina for giving you all this work for the week
she wanted to go into your room last night and shut your laptop, telling you to go to sleep but you were stubborn and lizzie knew you wouldn't listen regardless
so instead she let you work yourself to the bone, maybe that would get you to finally see how stupid your boss was. she sat on her bed and scrolled through her phone, answering messages as she saw them to pass the time.
people were mostly asking about New York and how she was going, talking about how they should catch up when Lizzie came back to LA and she agreed
after about 35 minutes Lizzie finally got up and walked into the common area, expecting you to be ready. when she walked in she saw you lacing up your boots, you looked up and smiled as you saw her getting closer. After you finished tying your shoelaces you stood up and did a little spin with your arms open wide
"you think this is nice enough? i know im not the one being interviewed but i dont want to look stupid next to you when we show up" you explained to her, lizzie looked you up and down.
she took in your outfit, some nice dress pants and a nice looking shirt. her smile grew as she looked at you longer, you still eying her waiting for an answer. Lizzie looked out the window at the weather, smiling and shaking her head
