You were woken up by Lizzies alarm but you didn't dare move, you laid there emotionless as she got out of bed
you heard her groan as she looked at you, probably regretting last night. how could she not? it definitely didn't seem like she had thought it through completely
you stayed in bed as she showered, got dressed and then finally left the bedroom. you sat up and sighed, being able to breathe properly for the first time this morning
after awhile you made the difficult decision on whether or not you should go downstairs, a decision you rethought numerous times but alas you found yourself at the top of the stairs. after going up and down the first few steps a couple times you went all the way down
you could feel your heart beating in your throat but the nerves quickly subsided as you were greeted with smiles and pancakes in the kitchen, everybody said good morning and acted as if nothing was wrong. to them nothing actually was wrong, they had no idea what had happened the night before and you were not about to tell them at least not all of them
"Aria!" you whispered to her, as she scavenged through the fridge
"hm? oh, if you're looking for Lizzie she's outside drinking her coffee" she replied before turning back
"what? no! i need to talk to you, it's a three" you said louder
something you and Aria had done since you were kids is rank things on severity, a one is not so bad but still needed to be talked about, a two is worse and more urgent and a three is oh my god my world is ending
so when Aria heard that she practically ran to you and pulled you into the living room and sat you down
"what? what happened? are you hurt?" she asked while checking you for cuts, bruises and such
"no? well not physically" you sighed, "it's Lizzie, we kissed last night" you said while biting your lip guiltily
"what?!" Aria spluttered as she spat her coffee out onto the floor, "wait, why is that bad? i thought you liked her"
"i do but she's still married to Robbie and she's a famous actor, if the media catches wind of this it'll ruin her!" you explained even if it was the most obvious thing ever
"well what happened then?"
you told Aria everything that had happened, and she was shocked to say the least
"well are you going to talk to her about it?" she asked innocently
"it's not that simple" you chuckled nervously
"uh yes it is, get your ass out there and talk to her" she said in her serious voice, which doesn't come out often
"Ari-" you tried to protest but she was having none of it so you stood up and walked towards the doors leading outside where Lizzie was
you took a deep breath in and walked out, Lizzie turned around and smiled but quickly turned back when she realised it was you. definitely not how you wanted to start this conversation
"good morning..." you said anxiously
she just waved so you huffed and sat next to her, "we need to talk about last night" you said confidently
"no we don't, it was the wine. i get flirty when i drink it, simple as that" she explained as if it was going to fix everything
"the wine?" you replied, shocked that she chose that excuse as you knew that last night she had only one glass of wine. "lizzie.."
she looked at you guiltily before looking back down at her phone, "i'm going back to LA today, Robbie and I are going to work it out"
you were shocked, you could see in her eyes she didn't actually want to go so you tried to make her rethink her decision, "Liz, that's a bad idea. remember what happened last time you saw him? i really don't think you should go and everyone in this house will agree with me"
"i've been speaking with him and we both agree that we should go see a marriage counsellor, i've made up my mind Y/n"
"but last night-" you replied, still trying to convince her to stay
"is irrelevant, it was a mistake and i'm sorry i came onto you like that. it won't happen again, i promise" she said before clearing her throat and going back inside
you sat there, hurt. you were confused, how did she think it was a good idea? there had to be a reason but right now she definitely wasn't going back on her decision
you made your way back inside just in time to see Lizzie coming down the stairs with all her luggage, she thanked Aria and her parents before making her way out the door.
no thoughts were in your mind as you ran out the door after her, grabbing her wrist before she got into her uber. she looked at you, confused on what you were doing. you were confused to, your body just took over and now you were also trying to figure out what to do next
lizzie saw this and sighed, before kissing you on the cheek. there were no fireworks, no electric shocks just a tingly feeling left on your cheek as the car pulled out of the drive way and drove away.
you stood there for a couple minutes, hoping she'd come back for a forgotten toothbrush or at least something but she never did.
so you made your way back into the house, alone
