Rose - Part two
- ~ -
Lynnette kept her eyes narrowed on Micky and Rose as they sat at the table across from hers, more focused on the male than the female. Something was off, and the girl knew it had something to do with his appearance, it didn't look real. It looked like plastic.
She shook her head, some people were already looking at her weirdly, not even because she was staring at her friend's table but rather because of the fact she had a table to herself with a basket of garlic bread in it middle of it.
The female took a bite out of the piece she had in her hands, she loved the garlic bread from this restaurant, it was bloody brilliant and she would gladly die on that hill. She sighed, she didn't mind sitting alone but she felt awkward when she was in a place where there were family outings or dates, where every person was talking to another.
Lynnette should have just left when she had the chance but somewhere in the back of her mind she knew she wasn't going to be able to leave, Rose was here and there was no way she was leaving her best friend with Micky in that weird state if it even was Micky.
She narrowed her brown eyes once more, trying to piece together what was so off about Micky, it felt like the answer was right in front of her but she just couldn't see it.
"You mind if I join you?"
It took her a second to recognise the voice but when she did she couldn't help but smile. She turned to the man standing in front of her, "Please," She motioned to the spare seat, "I need someone to share all this garlic bread with."
He looked down at the basket and chuckled, "That's a lot of bread."
Lynnette nodded sheepishly, "I may have overestimated how hungry I was."
He laughed once again and sat down opposite her, smiling brightly as if he didn't have the slightest care in the world. He was working to stop living plastic creatures from taking over the world and he was, eating garlic bread, Lynnette couldn't help but find it amusing.
"What's so funny?" He questioned, curiously before taking his first bite of the bread, "Oh, you lot are brilliant, creating all these different things, I can't believe I've never tasted this before!"
Lynnette tittered in amusement, "I know right, garlic bread is the best!"
The Doctor nodded franticly, clearly showing his appreciation for the food. The female would be lying if she said she didn't find it somewhat adorable.
