Season two, episode eleven:

Fear Her - Part One.

- ~ -

Lynnette snickered when the Doctor opened the Tardis doors and stared at the giant blue crate. He snapped his head around to look at her, eyes narrowed playfully.

She grinned in response, "'I'm a great pilot' He said!"

"Are you making fun of me, missy?" He hummed, stepping forward.

Lynnette smirked, "There's no need to ask me. Of course, I am!"

"Well, then, I don't feel bad about doing this!" Exclaimed the man, running toward her with his arms outstretched. Lynnette let out a squeal, darting around the other side of that console, laughing as the Tardis hummed gentle, enjoying their game.

Rose giggled, watching the two run around the Tardis like they were children, free and untethered to the world and all its hardships. It made her heart warm, knowing that Lynnette's childhood wasn't nearly as good as could have been.

"Where are we?" She questioned with a smile.

"In front of a massive crate!" Lynnette cackled, sliding around her friend as she narrowly avoided the Doctor's grasp.

Playfully, the Time Lord huffed, flicking levers and switches as he ran after his lover with a grin, "Not anymore!"

Finally, as the humming of the Tardis turning came to a halt, the Doctor caught Lynnette in his arms. She shrieked as he tickled her sides, head resting in the crook of her neck as he chuckled, grip unyielding.

"I give up! I surrender!" Exclaimed Lynnette, going limp in the Doctor's hold.

He let out a breathless chuckle, "Good," And then he pressed a quick kiss to her neck as he lifted his head, "Let's go see where we are!"

With matching grins, the trio stepped out of the Tardis and into the slightly nippy air. It was cold as it passed by but Lynnette relished in it, she relished in many things now that the cast on her arm was off and she could finally use both hands to do things.

Rose smiled, looking around, "So, near future, yeah?"

The Doctor nodded, the girl was getting better at guessing, "I had a passing fancy. Only it didn't pass. It stopped."

Curious, the girl followed the man as they walked along the streets of a winding neighbourhood. He grinned brightly, motioning his head toward a banner attached to two street lights that stretched across the road and laughed, "The thirtieth Olympiad!"
