Season two, episode twelve:
Army of Ghosts - Part one.
- ~ -
"Planet Earth. This is where I was born. And this is where I died. For the first nineteen years of my life, only one thing happened. I met a girl, tears streaming down her face as she walked away from whatever fancy party she was at. Lynnette Woods, her name was, my best friend. I day I died she got torn apart."
If only that day had never come.
"And then we met a man called the Doctor..."
"Run!" Was the first thing he had ever said to them.
"...A man who could change his face...and he took us away from home in his magical machine."
"Aha!" Grinned the Time Lord.
"He showed us the whole of time and space. He showed Lynnette what real, unconditional love was like, I had never seen her so happy. I thought it would never end."
The trio stared out in amazement, eyes scanning the horizon of a foreign planet's sunrise. Lynnette smiled brightly, alive and fire humming in her veins as Rose rested her head against her shoulder.
"How long are you gonna stay with me?" Murmured the Doctor.
"Forever," Hummed Rose.
"For infinity," Whispered Lynnette, relishing in the kiss he placed on her head.
"That's what we thought. But then came the Army of Ghosts. Then came Torchwood, and the War. And that's when it all ended."
"This is the story of how I died and how my best friend got torn apart."

"Are we actually in the right place this time?" Lynnette drawled teasingly.
"Oi!" Gasped the Doctor in mock offence, "Rose, are you really going to let her say that!?"
Rose let out a laugh, eyes glinting in amusement, "Yes. I'd rather die than go against Lynnie."
"Woo!" Yelled the woman with a smug grin, picking up her friend's bag and handing it to her, "Love you, Rosie!"
The Tyler girl giggled, "Love you too. Now, let's go see Mumma bear."
Hand in hand, the two girls strode out of the Tardis, leaving the Doctor shocked and amused. These were his favourite days, when everything was peaceful, where they could joke around and relax and be a family, where nothing would go wrong.
