The Christmas Invasion - Part One.

- ~ -

The Doctor was sprinting around the Tardis' console rapidly, clicking a multitude of buttons. His eyes were wide and erratic as he darted from spot to spot, unable to stay still. He stumbled and moved like her was drunk, as if he had no control over his body, he probably didn't.

"Oh, would you look at that," He mumbled, drawing both girls' attention to him, "It's Christmas!"

"Oh, bloody hell...Can we go and visit Jackie? She's most likely worried herself to death," Lynnette asked even though she knew he was already planning to take her and Rose there.

He smiled at her, still amazed by her beauty, "Of course, we can! Your every wish is my command, Firefly."

Lynnette snorted quietly, grinning. It appeared as if the new Doctor was very vocal about his affections. She wondered what else was different, aside from looks.  The Tardis shook violently as the Time Lord made sure the sentient ship was heading for their time.

Rose quietly took her hand and squeezed it, she furrowed her brows at the worried expression on her face and whispered, "What's wrong, Rosie?"

"The Doctor, he's not the same...he's not our Doctor," She muttered in response.

Lynnette shook her head, "He may be different but at heart, he'll always be the same stupid man we know and love, alright?"

Her friend's words certainly eased the girl as a teasing smirk made its way onto her face, "You looked like you enjoyed that kiss."

She snickered, "I did enjoy that kiss, very much, in fact."

The girl gasped in response and gently the other's arm. Then they crashed into something, the force forced the girls backwards and onto the floor as the Tardis shook and groaned, struggling immensely. Lynnette heard the Doctor laugh loudly and called out, "You are the worse driver ever!"

"Oi!" He yelled out in response, "I've got a new body, you can't blame me for not knowing how to use it!"

They crashed into things three more times before the Tardis finally came to a halt on steady ground. Lynnette let out a breath, chest heaving as she turned to her friend, "Are you alright?"

She nodded, and then her eyes widened, "Fine. You better go and get the Doctor, he just stepped out of the Tardis."

That wasn't good. Who knows what kind of trouble he could throw himself into. Rising up from her position, the girl darted towards the doors, stumbling slightly. She felt a bit dizzy, nausea washing over her for a moment before it receeded.
