*Takes place right after chapter fifty three*
Olivia
I wake up to loud beeping and bright lights.
My eyes flutter open all the way and I realize I am in a hospital room.
The last thing I can remember was sitting in my car, the light had turned green and then I saw bright lights headed towards me.
God my neck hurts, and my arm.
My whole body.
I go to wipe some hair out of my face when I realize I cant move it.
Looking over I see Alex sitting on a chair beside the bed, he's asleep and his hand grips mine tight.
"Alex." I say as I softly squeeze his hand.
His eye slowly open and as if he registers where he is he jumps out of his seat, still holding my hand.
Alex's other hand comes to sweep some hair out of my face.
"You're ok." He whispers and I nod.
"My whole body hurts." I wince as I try to move my leg.
It's in a cast.
"The doctor said the crash caused some injuries. Your femur is broken and so is your wrist, and two of your ribs." he admits not looking into my eyes.
"Alex." I say and he continues to look down.
I squeeze his hand, "What is it?"
I watch as a tear escapes him.
"You were unconscious and they didn't know if you'd make it."
He finally looks up at me and the pained expression on his face makes my own tears fall.
"I thought I was going to lose you Liv."
I shake my head, "But you didnt."
"I could've."
If half my body wasn't so busy being broken I would pull his ass into a hug.
"Wheres my mom?" I ask and he nods to the hallway.
"She's keeping my parents busy."
"Oh."
"I'm mad at you, you know." He says and my brows furrow.
"I told you not to drive in that rain."
I sigh, "I couldn't stay in that house Alex. You don't understand what he said to me."
"But it almost costed you your life." He says and I drop it knowing he's right.
"My dads not here is he?" I ask and Alex looks back over at the door.
"He's here isn't he?"
He nods, "So is Isabelle and Rosie."
"Can you ask him to leave?" Alex looks hesitant at my request, "Tell him when I am better and have time to think I'll call him."
He nods before letting his hand slip from mine and leaving the room.
Cora comes in a moment later.
"You look like shit."
I scoff, "Thanks."
She pulls a sharpie from her bag.
"I am the first one who gets to sign your cast." She says writing her name in cursive.
Then she adds a little heart.
My mom comes in and gives me a hug not noticing how I wince when she does so.
