I stayed in my room alone, not really wanting to talk to anyone. It was very late when there was a knock on my door.

"What?" I snapped

"Amber, love, you left early and missed all the fun." Klaus

"Come in." I muttered, knowing he could hear me "Now, enlighten me, what fun could I have missed?"

"Well, for starters I made your dear Salvatore lover turn off his humanity and feed on Elena."

"You what?!" I hissed standing up vampire speed "Give it back!"

"No can do, I compelled him so he could only turn it on by his own free will. Oh Come on now, you didn't actually think you could've pursued a relationship with him, did you? You're a powerful witch hybrid, a simple century old vampire couldn't have been nearly enough for you, now could it?" He finished off casually, as if he wasn't talking about taking someone's humanity away. I turned to him with disbelief.

"It has absolutely nothing to do with that, and if it did, it obviously wouldn't be your business." My voice was low and calm; I think it was scary considering he wiped the smirk from his face. "But, of course you don't care. Really. When have you ever cared about anything that doesn't directly affect you." I gave him a cold look, his mouth that was slightly open a few seconds ago snapped closed at the loss of words "You never truly cared, did you?" I asked, my voice a little softer. He knew I had a thing for Stefan yet he still did it, hell; he did it because of it. He knew how much it'd affect me and he did it anyway, the only explanation is that he doesn't give two flying fucks about his daughter. He didn't say anything. "Right. How did I let myself believe even for a second that you care about anything that isn't your hybrids, especially me." He didn't even look me in the eye.

"Amber.."

"Don't you dare 'Amber' me." I barked "Now do me a favor and get the hell out of my room." My voice went back to it's cold unfriendliness when I said that, needless to say it was followed by a glare.

As soon as the door closed behind him I vamp sped around my room, a minute later I had packed a few things in my backpack, all my magic stuff and a few other things.  I walked downstairs praying I wouldn't encounter anyone. As always, the gods ignored me and my blonde aunt spoke up just as I reached the front door.

"Where are you going?" she asked warily

"Out." I replied

"For ever?"

"Hopefully." I answered was I put the key in the keyhole.

"I don't think so." I turned to her questioningly "Nik!" she called out.

"That's wasn't necessary." I hissed.

"Rebekah it's 2am what would be so important that it cant wait for tomorrow?" his voice came from the kitchen and I could feel him approach. I tried to make a run for it but Rebekah grabbed me. I hated not being as strong.

"Your daughter was trying to skip town." I glared at her and she let my arm go. I dreaded what was about to come.

Klaus looked at me, his jaw clenched and I couldn't see any emotion on his eyes. "What's stopping you?" he asked coldly. "Leave. Leave and never come back, you wanted a family and I failed to give it to you, but who can blame me? I am, after all, the bastard child so by all means, the door is right there." He spoke in a way I had never heard him before. I almost flinched at his tone.

Two seconds later I was in the driveway, speeding off. I just had to make one more stop before I left this goddamned town, and for good. I spent a millennium trying to find people to be with me, it was about the damn time I learned to live alone for once and for all.  I took the familiar route to the boarding house; I had hung out with Damon a few times so I knew the way by heart.

I knocked on the door. Damon opened up, Elena close behind him. I smirked, he smiled softly and moved aside so I could get in.

"Damon!" Elena hissed. She didn't really like me, but I couldn't really blame her either.

"I saved your ass you bitch so shut up and let me do my thing." I snapped.

I walked over to the fire place and took the mind splinter. I had done a little research for this seeing as compulsion won't work of vervain vamps.  I placed the blue wood on the fire place and muttered a spell. It's ashes slowly appeared on my hand. Once I got it all out I closed my fist and headed towards Damon who looked dumbfounded. "I'm guessing you don't want to share your blood?" I asked. He shook his head. I muttered  extractum magis sanguis take guttae sanguinis extrahatur sanguis. He groaned as a few drops of his blood appeared on my hand. I put some of the ash on top of it and got closer to him.

"You will not remember what I am or who I am." He fell to the floor and pulled on his hair. I guess it hurt. "Amber to you is just some girl you shared drinks with." As I finished saying this the blood-ash on my right palm disappeared. Next.

"Elena, love, this thing is hard to come by and I know you don't have your necklace so you're getting out of it this time." She walked away from me but I sped in front of her. "You only met Amber once, she mad out with your brother but that's all you'll know about her once I walk away, now go help him." She repeated after me and I smirked. Elena was helping Damon up and they had an intense staring moment which was interrupted by...guess who..Stefan!
