AN: ok now I kind of silly filler chapter. whatever hope you enjoy

“Did you do anything stupid?” I asked as I started the car

“Actually yes, I called Elena.” I groaned and drove out of Mystic Falls.

“Dammit, I knew I should’ve compelled you.”

“Relax, I just called her, it’s her birthday, I didn’t say anything though.”

“Dear father of mine would kill you, you know that?” I said glaring at him

“But you won’t tell him.” He said, smirking.

“What makes you so sure about that?” I asked curiously.

“Well, you did follow us, my guess is that you wanted to make sure he didn’t hurt me” I laughed humorlessly, maybe he was a little right but I wasn’t going to admit that.

“Well, I don’t know about you but Mystic Falls gets a little boring, considering everyone’s on vervain,” I sighed an continued “Also, I wasn’t going to let my father run off again like that without me.” Even though my eyes were on the road I felt him staring at me.

“You know? You actually surprise me quite a lot sometimes. I thought it was probably going to be something along the lines of ‘Elena’s annoying’ or ‘being a ripper is far more fun than drinking from blood bags’ and at first it was, that’s how it is for you, always a superficial predictable comment then something very deep and moving.” Even though what he said was probably serious I laughed and hit him in the arm.

“And you got all of that from one answer?” I asked giggling

“No, I have been spending a few days with you, I notice things.” Just as he said that I got a message from little spy #1.

Caroline is throwing Elena a party tonight for her birthday, all of us are going.

I sighed, I wanted to make a little appearance but I doubted Klaus would let us alone after our little disappearance today.

When we got there Klaus was waiting outside the building, tapping his foot impatiently. I grabbed Stefan’s chin and compelled him “Don’t tell anyone where we were today, no clues, nothing about the subject, specially nothing about it to Klaus. Understood?”

A few seconds later we parked in front of  Klaus, to my surprise he was caring our bags then put them in the trunk of my car.

“Where were you?” he asked he seemed quite…angry.

“Nowhere” I said innocently.

As I expected, he grabbed Stefan from the shoulders and looked him directly in the eye

“Where were you two?”

“I can’t say.” Stefan said. I smirked and saw Klaus running to me just in time to prepare myself for his compulsion.

He compelled me and asked me the same question

“That’s for me to know and for you to dot dot dot.” I said heading to the car. He just sighed and shook his head. I sat in the driver’s seat and signaled them to get it.

“Where to?” I asked excitedly.

“Chicago.” My father answered smiling.
