i was eating ice cream with hyunjin and my phone suddenly rang. i took out my phone and looked at the caller id, it's soojin.

"your dad?" hyunjin asked and i shook my head.

"it's soojin." i said and hyunjin nodded while i picked up the call.

"hey heejin."

"yeah? what's up?"

"you didn't take back your airpods when you lent it to me when i was sleeping just now because i cried."

"ah really? it's fine, just return it to me tomorrow."

"you sure you don't wanna take it back now? i mean it's your airpods and airpods are hella expensive."

"how else are you gonna return it to me if not for school?"

"where are you at? i'll go there and pass it to you."

"im at the ice cream shop along the streets near the convenience store."

"okay, see you there."

"okay." i said and hung up.

"what happened?" hyunjin asked.

"nothing, she's just gonna come here to return my airpods."

"ohh okay."

after about 20 minutes of waiting, soojin came.

"hey, sorry, here's your airpods." soojin said and handed me my airpods.

"you don't have to apologise. are you okay now?" i asked.

"yes im okay. thank you for caring. imma go now." soojin said and left.

"what happened to her?" hyunjin asks as we walk in the park.

"her girlfriend cheated on her." i said.

"oh.. damn, i hope she gets better soon.." hyunjin said and i nodded.

"can you come to my class tomorrow for lunch, i don't feel like going down for lunch tomorrow. we get to spend one hour in my class i guess." i said.

"sure." hyunjin replied.

"let's go to my dad's company, my office aircon is strong and it's really hot now. i get to introduce you to my father too." i said and we went home and put out bags first and took our valuables, not forgetting the id and i drove to my dad's company.

we walked in and there was some changes to the layout of the company, i guess they renovated. i walked to my dad's office and knocked on the door.

"come in." i heard his voice. i walked in with hyunjin following behind shyly. she slowly closed the door and faced my father.

"oh heejin, what are you doing here?" minhyun aka my father asked.

"just wanted to hangout in my office because the aircon is really strong here and just wanted to visit you too." i replied.

"ahh i see, what's hyunjin doing here though?" minhyun asked.

"to hangout with me obviously. anyways imma go to my office now." i said and pulled hyunjin out off my dad's office.

we went to my office and went to chill over there. i decided to finish some documents that no one literally asked me to do but since i have nothing to do so why not.

"boy what the hell boy. this dude isn't even doing his work properly." i said and threw the paper on the floor harshly causing hyunjin to jump.

"relax." hyunjin said and picked up the paper and put it on my table.

"dude can you see how this dude is not putting in effort into his work. what is he even writing here, what is he even saying." i said and put away that document.

"calm down." hyunjin said and walked to the sofa and sat down.

"oh hey, this person does really good work," i said, "oh it's done by a female employee. exactly why women are better."

time passed

we decided to go home and we ate dinner before we went home at this random restaurant along the streets.

"oh.. so she just died." i said while sobbing.

"calm down." hyunjin said and pulled me into her embrace. "it's just a kdrama."

"she died hyun! she died." i sobbed.

"yes i know she died i was watching the drama with you. relax." hyunjin said and rubbed my shoulder lightly with her thumb.

"okay im done." i said and flip my hair back as i used my hand and wiped the tears away.

"gosh look at you. a sobbing mess because of a kdrama." hyunjin said and pulled out some tissue from the tissue box and wiped the tears off my face.

"im done crying." i said and stood up with hyunjin standing after.

"go wash your face." hyunjin said and i went to the toilet to wash my face while she just sat on the bed, playing her phone.

i saw her texting someone.

yeah, she's a softie.
she always look tough but she's a literal
softie. why? is she crying because of a kdrama again?

she was a sobbing mess.

don't worry. welp, you as her girlfriend gotta take care of her extra well now. you need to reassure you won't be like the cheater in the kdrama or whatever happened to the main lead won't happen to her because you'll always protect her or sumn.

"who're you texting?" heejin said as she sat beside me on the bed.

"jinsoul."

"ohh, what're y'all talking about?" heejin asked.

"nothing, i just asked her if you always cry while watching kdrama."

"what did she say?" heejin asked.

"she said yes and she told me that i have to take care of you extra well now."

"and why is that?" heejin frowns and asked.

"and that's because i have to reassure you that i won't be like the cheater in the kdrama of whatever happened to the main lead won't happen to you because i will always protect you, princess" i said and ruffled her hair.

"oh so that's what jinsoul said huh." heejin scoffed.

"yes that's indeed what she said, so now im gonna reassure you that im not a cheater and that i will always protect you." i said and hugged heejin, keeping her in my embrace.

"yeah sure, you better protect me and not leave me." heejin said and snuggled closer to me.

"i won't baby." i said and rubbed her shoulder lightly with my thumb.
