Jay and I returned from our trip to the Himalayas on the Sunday so we still had an afternoon before school.

I let Jay take one last look at the scenery before I held onto his arm and teleported us to my hotel room.

Switching on the light, I let go of Jay and he collapsed on the bed.

"I'm tired Ren," he said and rolled over onto his stomach.

I rolled my eyes at him.

"You have no reason to be tired Jay. As a vampire or a half-Immortal, there is no reason to be tired."

He rolled back over and sat up. "I'm not physically tired. Just mentally tired, I guess."

I raised an eyebrow. "Spending the day with me is tiring? I see how you feel," I said, trailing off, making it seem like I was upset. I wasn't really though.

He automatically jumped off of the bed and pulled me to his chest.

"Of course it's not you Ren. Your amazing. How could I possibly be tired because of spending the day with you?"

I looked at him with a smirk. "Tricked you."

"That was a low blow Ren. A low blow," he said with a sniff and wiping away a fake tear.

"Your such a cry baby," I laughed.

"No I'm not. I'm just very in touch with my feelings."

"Right."

I lay down on the bed and he joined me a second later.

"Isn't it better not always being perfect?" He asked softly and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

I nodded reluctantly. I guess it was. I didn't have to be so serious all the time.

It makes you weaker, a small voice snarled. Like a human.

I shut that voice up quickly. If I seemed weak like a human because I wasn't being perfect or serious all the time then I would only be that way with Jay.

I sat up and hauled Jay up as well.

"Let's go. I want to test out your new skills."

We teleported from the hotel into the forest clearing.

I made our swords appear in our hands while we stood a few metres away from each other.

I blinked and a ball of light appeared to the side of us. We didn't need it but I wanted him to get used to different lights.

Jay ran towards me at full speed and swung his sword at me. I raised mine and the two met with sparks. It was our strength against the other.

I smiled and he lost a bit of his attack. I pressed on and with a quick final swing I tapped his mid section.

"Easy win," I proclaimed with a grin.

He quickly ditched the sword and leapt at me. We both tumbled to the ground and did hand to hand combat. I had my arm outstretched from an attack so he grabbed it, as well as my other arm, and pinned them both behind my back. Jay placed one hand over where my heart is.

"I'm sure that if someone removes your heart you die. Even if you are an Immortal," he whispered then let me go.

I turned around to face him with a playful scowl on my face. Jay just smirked in victory at me.

"So I was right in the heart thing?" He asked.

"Yeah. Unfortunately," I replied.

I picked up his sword and passed it to him.
