"as we said, we have reason to believe that the vampires and the werewolves will get into a fight and harm humans," Joe said.
"and you want me to stop them by what? Killing them? The leaders I mean," I asked.
"no. That's only if you can't do anything. We want you gain their trust and do something to make them not fight," Joe said.
I leaned back in the seat. "so pretty much get into their group, try to convince them that they can't fight without possibly hurting a human, and if they don't don't listen, kill a random member of the group?"
"exactly, but, if you can, can you not kill anyone? We don't want them to take revenge on us. Can't you torture them instead?" Harry asked.
I sighed, frustrated. Humans were always so caring.
"I'll try to be nice to them," I said and ran a hand through my hair. "but I can't promise anything. I'm usually in for the kill."
They shifted in their seats as I said that and I held back a frustrated groan. Bloody humans.
I took a deep breath then released it. "ok, change of subject. You do know what happens with the Alpha males when I'm around?" I asked.
They shook their heads. Of course. Greg would be the one to leave out important details.
"every time I was seen by an Alpha male, he would become a pain in the ass and follow me everywhere and say that we were mates. Some even ditched their real mate because of me. Others sometimes suffered depression and killed them self when I Ieft them."
Harry looked scared, sort of shocked even, and Joe remained emotionless but his eyes told me he was worried.
Joe cleared his throat. "we'll keep that in mind Miss Daeth. Will you help us out?"
"of course."
With them finally getting my agreement, we all lapsed into silence. I checked the folder again and read about what it said about Lucas. 'High chance of anger.' I actually laughed at that. They made it sound as if he was the only one who has anger issues. They still needed to work on details.
Eventually we pulled up into the driveway of a huge house. There were huge gardens with hedges and blooming flowers reminded me of the days when it showed your family's wealth.
I noticed many things about the house as we got closer. I was pleased to find out that it looked as if it was built in the 1800's. The brick walls, the large glass windows.
"how long has the house been built?" I asked randomly, still staring in awe and wonder at the house.
"since the early 1800's," one of them replied.
I barely heard him. I was remembering one time where I was a guest and my mission was to kill the owner of the property, a warlock. I still remembered that day. I was dressed in a a red dress, the sleeves long and most of my chest exposed and puffy shoulders. That was where I hid the dagger. Of course, I had to wait a couple of days before I actually could kill the warlock, otherwise I would look suspicious.
I shook my head. That was then. This is now. The past wasn't going to come back anytime soon.
The car came to a stop and I got out with gracefulness. Joe and Harry stayed in the car.
"these are the keys to the house," Joe said handing me some keys.
"tomorrow we'll give you some time to get used to the town but the day after your going to high school and, hopefully, you can get their group and stop the fighting," Joe said.
