I made a sour face. "Roman brought you here, didn't he?"

"Is that his name?" Josef asked with surprise. I guess he didn't really care about the name of the demon.

I scowled. "A demon?"

Josef nodded but his posture said he could care less about demons.

I scowled more if that was possible. "I didn't want to see you!"

Jay watched us carefully to try and understand the conversation.

Josef shrugged and uncrossed his ankles. "That's not what he said."

I perched on the bed and faced him. Jay took a seat next to me.

Josef's eyes flickered to Jay. "And you are?"

Jay held his head high. "I'm Jay."

Josef raised an eyebrow. "Why are you with Kristina?"

"I'm her boyfriend," he said, trying to not snap or look away from Josef's strong gaze.

Josef looked at me, confused. "You moved on so soon Kristina."

I stayed silent as I glared at Josef. Jay looked at both of us in confusion.

"Am I missing something here Ren?" He asked.

I glanced at Jay but turned back to Josef when he laughed.

"You haven't told him? You haven't told him about me?"

"Stop," I warned.

"You haven't told him about your betrothed?"

"Shut up!" I yelled at him, getting to my feet.

Josef was quiet and so was Jay.

"You never told me you were married," Jay said softly.

I looked at him with an apology in my eyes. "Jay. Don't listen to him."

"So you weren't married then?" He asked, squinting his eyes in suspicion.

"You really have him by the leash don't you? And she was married," Josef said in Jay's direction. "I would know. I was the one who she had an affair with during her engagement."

"Ren? Is he saying the truth?" Jay asked, hurt.

I hung my head and clenched my fists tightly that my nails dug into my skin.

My silence was all he needed for him to walk out of the room.

"I think he's upset," Josef said.

My head snapped up and I glared. "Don't come here and mess with my love life," I growled.

He stood up and pushed me onto the bed, hovering over me and trapping me there.

"Your only love was for me Kristina," he said and leant his head down to kiss my neck softly.

It used to feel nice, him doing this, and a small part of me said it still was nice, but I didn't feel right anymore.

I rolled us over so I was straddling him and used my hands to pin his above his head.

"I'm not weak anymore. Your charms won't work on me, incubus. And I don't love you anymore. I love Jay."

His eyebrows rose and disappeared under his curls. Then his body shimmered under me and changed so he looked exactly like Jay.

My eyes widened as I instantly got off him.

"What's wrong Ren? I thought you loved me?" The fake Jay sneered in the same voice as Jay.
