Before Jay had even woken up the next morning, I had already been up and preparing myself. First I had carefully made a strip of cloth appear around his eyes so that if he suddenly woke up he wouldn't see anything. Like the nervous aura I was trying to get rid of.

I had laughed at myself at that. When was I nervous? Never. So I mentally scolded myself and went into the bathroom.

I stood with my palms on the counter and stared at hard at myself, eyes flickering between amber, black, red and all colours in between.

I watched in the mirror as my clothes changed into a black silk dress and runes among the hem of the material.

My family ring, the exact same as the one in my dream, appeared on my middle finger, the gems glinting in the light.

My hair became curls piled onto my head held together with hairpins made of pure onyx.

I smoothed down my dress nervously and watched the skirt of it ruffle and move around.

Taking one last breath, I walked back into the main room and stood next to Jay who was sitting upright with his legs crossed on the bed. The blindfold was still on.

"I wondered why I was wearing this but thought that you did it for a reason," he said, a soft smile on his face.

Hesitating for a second, I took the blindfold off from his face and he looked at me and how I looked.

"Wow," he said with amazement.

I smiled then watched his clothes melt away leaving him naked.

"Right?" He asked, confusion colouring his tone.

"We aren't having sex again so don't think we are," I said and moved my eyes from his beautiful pale skin. He must've kept the pale skin factor from the vampire side of him.

I made one of daggers appear and I cut a rune into his skin. Blood seeped out but quickly healed leaving a dark outline of the rune on his skin.

Making the dagger disappear again, I reached out and grabbed his wrist firmly and we vanished from the room.

We reappeared in a temple made from a mixture of dark and light wood and golden posts. If we looked out the window we could see a huge waterfall that fell into a basin full of dark sapphire blue water. It was breathtaking.

I led Jay into the next room and we saw a lady sitting on a chair and an easel in front of her. She was painting the other side of the temple, a small clearing in a forest that had deer eating leaves from short plants.

"Lucille," I said and she looked over at us.

She brushed her straight dark hair over her shoulder and came over to where we stood. Her black and depthless eyes looked at us and a spark lit in them.

"Nice to see you again Kristina," she said with a small smile.

"You too. Have you been alright here?" I asked the halfbreed.

She nodded. "Yeah. It's quiet but peaceful here. I'm getting lonely with no one to talk to though," she answered.

"Did you want me to ask someone or make someone appear for you?" I offered.

She shook her head. "Oh no. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. And who is this halfer with you Kristina?"

"He's my boyfriend Jay. He's half Immortal."

"Nice to meet you then Jay."

"You too Lucille," he replied with a charming smile from where he stood behind me, trying to not show anything to her.
