2 months later
Sapphire
"What do you mean it's going to be a regular pregnancy?" Luke sighs, "You already would've looked 7 months if your baby was supernatural but you look like a regular woman at 2 months." I run my hands through my hair while tears stream down my face, "Is my baby going to be human? Completely human?"
"There's a possibility that it could be completely human or it might have some form of power." I look at Luke and he places a hand on my shoulder, "Time will tell." I nod then get up from the bed, "Thanks Luke." I walk out and Thomas is sitting in the living room, watching TV. He looks at me, "Hey Sapphire."
"Thomas, I need to tell you something." He sits up, shutting the TV off, "Are you okay? Is the baby okay?"
"I'm fine and so is the baby. I just need to know something from you." He nods and I sit next to him, "How would you feel if you found out that our baby was going to be completely human? Just like me."
"I would love him/her just the same." He places a hand on my small bump, "This baby could be a vampire, a siren or a mermaid for all I care but it's still our baby. I'm going to love it everyday of its life just like I love you." I smile then press my lips to his. He pulls back, "Do you want to go on a date with me?" I nod, biting my lip and he kisses my forehead, "Talk to Tiana. I'll pick you up in her room at 5:30 which is 3 hours so you have enough time." He helps me off the couch then helps me up the stairs, "I'll see you later baby," he kisses my stomach, "You too, little one." I smile as he walks into our room then I knock on Tia's. She opens the door, "Nice of you to finally knock. Come in, come in. Time to get you ready for your date." I raise an eyebrow, why did she know about this? What is that idiot planning?
3 hours later
I smooth down the lilac sundress as I slide on the white sandals Tiana put in front of me. There's a knock on her door and she opens it, "Hello Thomas."
"Hey Tia, is she ready?" Tiana waves me over and I walk over to the door. Thomas smiles, "You look gorgeous, baby."
"Thank you." He grabs my hand and leads me away from Tiana's room. "Where are we going anyway?" He looks down at me, "That's a surprise, my dear mate." I raise an eyebrow but he just shakes his head, "Just trust me."
"Alright."
30 minutes later
We pull into a parking spot near a beach. "Since it's getting late a lot of people won't be here. So how about a picnic on the beach?"
"It's perfect." He smiles, getting out of the car and running over to open my door. He helps me out then grabs a blanket and basket from the trunk; this must've been planned for awhile. We walk until we find a perfect spot and he spreads the blanket, helping me sit down. He settles down beside me then takes out a tuberware with lasagna, "I heard that it was your favorite and my grandma can make really good Italian food." He hands me a fork and we start eating the lasagna along with garlic bread then he pulls out two bottles of iced green tea. I enjoyed myself entirely and after about 30 minutes after we finished eating, he asks, "Do you want to go for a walk?" I nod and we get up, walking towards the shoreline. I stare at the reflection of the moon on the water then I feel his arms wrap around my waist; resting his hands on my belly. I smile and he whispers, "Sapphire, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. You gave me a life that I wouldn't want to give up and I know that I'm never going to want to let that go. I never cared that you were mute because you were meant to be mine and to me, you were beautiful with and without your voice. What I'm trying to say is..." He lets me go and I turn to see him going down on one knee, pulling a ring from his pocket, "Sapphire Valenzuela, will you marry me?" I just stare at him shocked then I start nodding, "Yes, yes of course!" He slides the ring up my finger then I lean down to kiss him. He lifts me up and I laugh as he starts spinning me around. He sets me down, "I love you so much."
"I love you too." I smile then I realize that the fun part is going to be telling my brother about the engagement and the baby.
