Chapter 9

1 week later
Sapphire
I punch the bag then kick it before finishing my workout for the day. I wipe the sweat off my forehead then drink some water. Tiana told me about the weight room and I found where all the punching bags were so this is what I do for an hour since I need to burn off some anger. Fucking Thomas thinks he can bring me into this house, ask me on a date then forget about it completely. I didn't tell Tiana because I know she'll tell Thomas and I don't want that. I want him to figure it out. I take off my gloves and throw them in my bag when I hear footsteps coming down the stairs. I keep looking down then hear the voice I dreaded, "Saph, what are you doing down here?" I clench my hands into fists and his hand touches my shoulder, "Sapphire." I stand, slinging my bag over my shoulder then shove past him. I walk up the stairs to the living room then up to my room, slamming the door closed and locking it. I throw my bag in my closet then head into the bathroom to take a shower. I let the water relax me before washing up and stepping out. I pull out a teal cap sleeve dress that stops above my knees and pair it with some white tights and brown combat boots. There's a knock on the door and I open it up to see Tiana, "What's going on Saphy?" I grab my phone then type, "Thomas asked me out on a date a week ago and he forgot about it completely." Tia rubs my back, "Why don't you just tell him Saph?"
"I want him to figure it out Tiana. He needs to do this one thing for himself." She nods then points at my outfit, "I like the dress."
"I was going to wear it on the date but since I never got the chance I figured why not just wear it for fun." She smiles then twirls my hair around her finger, "Can I fix your hair?" I nod and she pulls me into the bathroom. She blow dries my hair then starts curling it. Annabeth walks into the room then turns to look at me, her eyes glazed over, "Beware of the night which comes to take you. Beware of the Fusion who will be taken from you." She shakes her head then smiles, "What's going on guys?"
"Annabeth, what did you just tell Sapphire?"
"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm going to hang out with Cole, bye." She slips away and I meet Tia's eyes in the mirror, "What in the hell just happened?" She shrugs then finishes up my hair, "Lets go show him what he's missing." I smile and we walk out of the room then downstairs. I hear a wolf whistle then glare at Ashton but he just shrugs. Thomas looks at me, "Why in the hell are you wearing that?" Tiana answers for me, "She has a date, Tommy. Doesn't she look pretty?"
"She doesn't have a date, do you?" I smile and nod then I'm backed up against the wall. Thomas's body pressed against mine, "The only person you're allowed to date is..." He trails off then realization crosses his face, "I forgot didn't I?" I nod and he wraps me in a hug, "I'm so sorry Sapphire. I'm such an asshole and I don't even deserve you as a mate." I pull back and raise an eyebrow then he curses. "Way to go bro. You finally grew a pair!"
"Shut up Ashton," he yells. "If you had enough balls then this wouldn't have happened would it?! If you told her before then you could've had her and told her about all this bullshit!" Thomas turns around to face his brother, "She is my mate and I didn't want to bombard her with all this information you idiot! Leave me the hell alone!" They start arguing and I open my mouth to say something but nothing come out. They keep arguing and I start hyperventilating.

My vision swims in and out.
How does it feel to be a loner, mute girl!
I fall to my knees, clutching my chest, trying to breath, when someone screams, "SAPPHIRE!" I fall to the ground completely then black out.
