Sapphire
"Hey Saph, I brought you some food."
"Thanks Ash." He sets it on the foot of the bed then brings a chair over to sit by me, "Saph, you have to leave every once in awhile. People are starting to get worried."
"By people do you mean your family? No one else in this house know I exist except you guys." He rubs my back, "He's not going to wake up if you just sit here everyday, Sapphire."
"He's going to wake up, Ashton, and I want to be here when he does. I'm not leaving my mate."
"Saph-"
"No Ashton! He's like this because of me. It's my fault!" Tears run down my face then Thomas's hand clenches mine, "No...it's...not." I look at Thomas's face, "You're awake. Oh my God."
"You sound beautiful, baby." I smile, pressing my lips to his, whispering, "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too. Hey Ash."
"Hey bro. How are you feeling?" Thomas shrugs, "Drained. Can you go and get mom and dad?" Ash nods then walks out of the room, closing the door behind him. Thomas looks at me, "Why are you so far away? I don't bite, unless you're into that." I roll my eyes then sit on the bed near his hand, "You haven't lost your sense of humor."
"Of course I haven't. I got bit, I didn't die."
"You could've and that's my fault." He shakes his head, "No, Sapphire, it's not your fault."
"Thomas, she wanted you and she knew that you would come for me. You could've died if Ashton didn't follow you and I would've been useless because I couldn't scream out for help. I could've lost you." Tears start streaming down my face but he wipes them away with his fingers, "You aren't going to lose me. I love you too much for that to happen." What? He loves me? "You-you love me?"
"Of course I do. I loved you the very moment I laid eyes on you. I love you Sapphire Valenzuela."
"I love you too Thomas Reddings." He smiles then pulls me close to him, "Give me a hug." I wrap my arms around his neck whispering, "Thomas hugs are the best cure for everything." He laughs then the door opens so I pull back, "I'm going to go and get some air. I'll be back in a few hours." He nods then I lean down to kiss his forehead, "Love you."
"Love you too." I smile then walk out of the room. I hear my phone goes off multiple times, alerting me that I have new messages. I grab my phone to see texts from Mark and Harmony.
M: Hey sis.
M: Saph, y aren't u answering ur phone?
M: Sapphire, answer my messages rite now!
H: Saph, message me or ur brother. We're getting worried.
Might as well break the news over the phone. I dial Mark's number and it rings and rings until he finally picks up, "Thomas, is everything alright? Why isn't Sapphire answering her messages?"
"First off, why on Earth would you think Thomas would be calling you from my phone? Secondly, I've been with Thomas so I haven't been able to check my phone." It's silent then someone screams, "YOU CAN TALK!!!!! HARMONY, HARMONY, SHE CAN TALK!!! I HEARD HER SPEAK!!!!" I pull the phone away from my ear so I don't go deaf. "Saph, are you okay? How are things over there?"
"They're going good. The Reddings are taking care of me."
"That's good. Harmony and I are coming down to visit and we need to finish planning the weddings as well."
"Alright," there's a knock on my door, "Mark, I have to go. I'll talk to y'all later."
"Alright sis, I love you." I smile, "I love you too, bye." I hang the phone up then open the door to see Tiana, "Hey, I'm going to the mall with Ashton and Annie, do you want to come?"
"Sure just let me shower and change." She nods then leaves my room, closing the door behind her. I take a quick shower then change into ripped jeans, blue bandeau with a ripped tank on top. I slide my feet into black combat boots then grab my wallet. I run down the stairs and Ashton has Annie on his back, "Ready?"
"Yeah just let me say goodbye to Thomas." He nods then I walk down the hallway and into his room. He smiles, "Hey baby. Where are you going?"
"To the mall with Tia, Ash and Annie. I just wanted to say bye before I left." He opens his arms and I give him a hug, "I'll be back in a bit. I love you."
"I love you too, sweetheart." I smile then pull back, placing a kiss on his lips. I walk out then nod to Ashton, "Ready."
