Chapter 11

Sapphire
Thomas takes me to the garden and we sit on a bench, staring at the abyss of flowers. "We believe in the Moon Goddess, the mother to all werewolves. When she created us, she noticed that they were never happy being alone or were easily angered by anything so she created their perfect half; their one true love. She created a mate to keep them from hurting each other or themselves."
"Have you found your mate," I ask. Thomas looks over at me then smiles, "Yeah and she's beautiful and kind. I like her a lot." I look at the ground, "She sounds awesome. You're very lucky."
"So are you. You have an awesome mate as well." I look over and he has this stupid smirk on his face then a lightbulb goes off. I punch him in the arm repeatedly while he tries to hold me back, "Woah, woah, Saph, why are you beating me up?"
"You asshole! I thought you were talking about someone else!" He chuckles then wraps an arm around my shoulders, pulling me close to him, "I wouldn't talk about anyone like that but you." I lift my hand to place it against his cheek and he slowly leans in. Is he going to kiss me? Should I start leaning in? I didn't know I already was until I felt his breath against my lips. I lean all the way in, our lips touch and a jolt of electricity goes through me. I gasp but move my lips against his, not wanting this to end. He pulls back then whispers, "We need to take this slow, angel." I nod and lean back but he pulls me into his side, my head on his chest. "Do you accept me as your mate, Sapphire?" I look up at him and nod. He leans down, his lips inches from mine as he whispers, "I accept you too." I smile then pull him closer, wanting there to be no distance between us. If only I could tell him how I feel about him, that would change everything.

I watch as the Fusion prince kisses his new mate and chuckle, "I've finally found his weakness. It's time to rid of her and get my prize."
"What are you doing?" I turn around and my husband stands behind me, "I was just watching the Fusion like you told me to. He has a mate, Salazar."
"Then kill her. Get home Lira." I sigh as I run on home like I always do. I will prove that I can do more than play housewife.
