Chapter 3- His side of the story

Christian's POV
A week ago
I don't remember why I was here in this room attached to so many wires and then it finally started coming back to me

The whole gun shot, screaming, crying and me falling down on the floor

I glanced around my surroundings but felt a sharp pang through my chest

"Don't move Chris" Lucas spoke from beside me
It looked like he hadn't eaten in days and he looked pretty worn out

"How many days has it been Lucas?"

He hesitated for a moment but spoke

"5 days"

I closed my eyes.

"Hayley?"

When Lucas didn't respond I got worried, I opened my eyes to see him thinking something and so I slightly nudged him

"Christian, focus on getting better we can talk about it later"

It was a day later that I was finally allowed to go home. The bullet hit me below my heart thankfully and I wasn't dead.

It took them days to get me back into my senses and I was finally feeling a lot better

Getting home I saw Caleb waiting for me. He glanced at me and an instant smile appeared on his face

"Welcome home brother" I hugged him back and we sat down

He looked a little distant and I was growing impatient

"Where is Hayley?"

Caleb tensed and I could tell something was not right. I tried my best not to let my anger get the best of me and asked again

"Where is my wife?"

Caleb looked at me with furrowed brows and I looked at him with same confusion

He finally spoke

"She left"

This was all it took to break my heart.

"Before you make assumptions, after you fell to the ground, her initial plan was to die with you but I talked her out of it. I asked her to run and she finally did. Just when I got you out of the floor, the whole floor blasted. I didn't see her then"

"You don't know where she is?"

"I do."

"Then fu*king tell me"

"Christian I don't think you should follow her anymore"

"Are you mad Caleb? She is my wife"

"She has a son now Christian"

this took me by surprise.

I had expected her to cry herself to death or do something devoted but she did what?

"Son?"

"It is a long story Christian. She is trying hard to get her life back on track now"

"Caleb her life is with me, here"

"She has things to take care of now."

"Whatever, tell me where she is"

Kai's POV
When I checked my phone that morning 
I was shocked to see a text from George telling me Christian woke up and wanted to meet me.

All this while I knew Christian was in the hospital but I didn't tell Hayley because chances of him waking up were very low and the last thing I wanted was to hurt Hayley again

I read the text twice and after confirming I hadn't gone mad I made my way towards my office

I wasn't sure if I was ready to meet him yet. If Christian is awake what will he do about Hayley now? And Elijah?

I was having a very stressful day just by thinking about it but luckily Hayley asked me for company which I agreed to

Christian's POV
When kai didn't show up, I went mad. I never expected him to ghost out like this after everything that we went through

I tracked for kai's location to go see him myself and that's how I got to the mall

As I passed by a store, a necklace caught my attention. I thought of her as I looked at it and proceeded to buy it

I didn't realize someone was beside me

I glanced at the person and my heart skipped a beat

There she was.

Standing beside me looking beautiful as ever
