Kai's POV
"see I can get Christian and you can get Hayley, we just need to create a little misunderstanding between them and we're good to go"
I played this same line from Katherine again and again in my phone. I think this is the only evidence I might need to resolve this thing between them
Good thing I recorded it because not even for a second was I trusting that back stabbing bi*ch.
After calling both of them I relaxed and focused on my day.
But even with it I could feel the pain in my chest getting heavier with every passing minute
Christian's POV
"KATHERINE KATHERINE" That bi*ch is the only thing on my mind lately. What mind was I in when I decided to let her in my life.
She ruined everything, Hayley was right.
She was right when she doubted me. I thought disappointingly
"boss"
"huh yes"
"I said we found Katherine and she's currently in the room blindfolded unconscious"
"okay good keep her there until I tell you next"
"yes boss" George did a little salute thing as he left.
This morning after George saw me and realized how a complete mess I was, he recommended we get some answers from the person who is responsible for all this
At first it didn't seem like the best idea but now I feel like it is, I am glad he advised me this because I feel damn confident about it now
Hayley's POV
After a whole day of walking, eating ice creams and enjoying every possible ride I felt happy
As we drove back home I glanced at Elijah who was already fast asleep in his seat
I smiled as I looked at his peaceful face. Even after everything he is someone who is here with me and makes me happy
As I pulled into the driveway I saw kai's car and our conversation came rushing back to me
I parked the car and pulled Elijah out carefully
I unlocked the door and tucked him in his bed after changing his clothes
As I made my way out I saw kai standing in front of me looking relieved and relaxed
"guessing you guys had a good day"
"very good" he smiled genuinely and pulled me in for a hug
His hug was more of a comforting and surety one and I instantly relaxed
"I'll wait for you, you can change" he said as he pulled away and walked
I took a quick shower and changed
Feeling relaxed enough I head out to see Christian in the living room talking to kai
I stopped in my tracks as my heart started beating wildly at this sight of him
He looked pretty worn out
Kai upon noticing me gestured me to come forward
I did. I walked confidently not meeting Christian's eyes and sat beside kai
No one said anything for some time but soon enough kai broke the silence
"listen I know you guys are going through the worst of times but I want to tell you something" he said as he pulled out his phone and kept it on the table
"hear this" he said as he played a recording
