My mate was literally close to me all this time. The whole time I've been searching in the wrong place, that hooded guy is right, I was looking at the wrong place and if not for the bond I wouldn't have found her.

My mate was staying in a vampire city, she was in my city and instead of searching here, I've been searching for her everywhere else.

When Carter told me where he saw her, to say I'm shocked would be an understatement. But I'm glad that my mate was very close to me, it just made everything easier.

After hearing my mate screaming for help through the bond, I left with Carter immediately to our vampire city. Since it's the vampire city, none of us bothered to act human and used our vampire speed.

That is when I saw her, my mate, unconscious on a bench, with a sticky note on her. She was in this cruel city all alone and vulnerable but a huge part of me is relieved that she is safe and no one took her.

"Home," I mumbled taking my mate in my arms.
