"Elijah," I called my teacher, one of the greatest warlocks ever existing, who also happens to be my dad's best friend. Soon I'll be turning eighteen, it means I have two more years left before I have to leave my home.

My dads don't know about that and I am intending to keep it that way. Them getting involved in the picture might mess up my predictions. Future won't remain the same if you try to change it.

"Are there any sacrifices to bend the curses as we wish?" I tried to speak casually so that he won't be having any doubts.

"You mean the three main curses?" I nodded my head.

"Yes, some powerful witches and warlocks have the ability to perform such sacrifices but what kind of sacrifices are you talking about exactly here?"

Thank God, he didn't have any doubts.

"I was reading about the curse of Agony, where a child will be born to kill a monster," even though I read a lot about that curse, I still have no clue what exactly that curse is.

All other curses are pretty simple but this one, how can a curse be both curse and a blessing? I have no idea what people meant by that when they wrote how it's a blessing.

"Why?" he gave me a confused look. He still doesn't have any idea why I am asking this but if I lie, I know he'll find out. He is my teacher for god's sake. While I was thinking of a lie, he himself came up with an explanation making me sigh in relief.

"You heard about the vampire king's curse?" he chuckled. I nodded.

"I don't know much either but learning about it will indeed be an educating experience, I'll look into it and tell you soon," he stood up and vanished in the air.

That is my teacher, the one who never postpones his work. If he wants to know about something then he wants to know it immediately. He always tells that you don't wait for a good day to learn things. If you want to learn then go do it immediately.

I know, I have a great teacher indeed and I am glad.

There's a reason why I want to know more about the curse, the curse is the reason for my daughter's death. My daughter, her mate and their unborn child, all of them died because of that monster who's born on that curse. She not only decided to kill the vampire king to fulfil her destiny, she decided to kill my daughter and their unborn child.

Confused? Let me explain from the start.

After I turned seventeen, I started seeing my future. At first, I was confused but a few months into seeing my future, things became crystal clear for me.

In the first few visions, I was mated to a vampire, a good powerful one. But since people are against interspecies mating, my mate decided to reject me and this made my dads angry. So they took my life choices in their hands and killed my mate so that my pain will end and I'll be blessed with a second chance mate.

But they are wrong, I saw my future after my mate too. I was alone, sad and lonely which made me lose control over my powers and I went on a killing spree, harming the people I love due to the grief of my mate's death and rejection.

That is when I decided to run away from my home, hiding my traces so that I can live happily with my mate before I could tell my dads the truth. I also decided to keep my identity a secret, I wanted my mate to fall in love me and trust me before I could tell him the truth.

After my decisions, the vision changed too. In my new vision, I ran away, to live with my mate and we had kids, a son and a daughter. My angels. After a few years, I told my mate the truth about my identity, he decided to keep that a secret for my safety.
