Chapter 12: Bad Blood
They were surrounded by too many prying ears to discuss what to do once they actually reached Munich, but Nataliya was already thinking up something. Heidi was reveling in her new freedom, she knew exactly what she wanted to do once she got to Munich, and she knew Nataliya would be more than willing to oblige her.
The train arrived in Munich after less than ten minutes. Nataliya and Heidi were more than happy to finally be away from Memmingen, but Nataliya had never been in a metropolis before, she realized soon afterwards that it wasn't the best place to stay. The city was enormous, filled to the brim with millions of people, the buildings were modern and beautiful, Nataliya loved it. Heidi was thoroughly unimpressed, having lived in the city for many years before being sent to Memmingen.
The two girls were walking through the streets. Nataliya was watching the people, the buildings, everything, as Heidi said, "So what now?"
"We should leave the country, maybe go to Austria or France," Nataliya said, still looking around at the city.
"We need to do something first," Heidi said, slowly.
"What?" Nataliya inquired, focusing her attention back to Heidi.
"My step-father, he lives here, and I want to kill him."
"Okay," Nataliya said without hesitation, "How are we going to find him?"
"He is probably still living at my Mom's old apartment, its big enough for two families, and already fully paid for, no rent to worry about."
"Let's go then."
Heidi kissed Nataliya before grabbing her hand and leading the away.
They walked for a good two miles before reaching their destination, Heidi knew the city very well, leading them directly to their destination. Heidi walked up to the buzzer beside the front door to an apartment building. She smirked and said, "Yes! He is still here."
"So how are we going to get in?" Nataliya inquired.
"Ask," Heidi responded, winking at Heidi before pushing the buzzer.
"Hello?" A small screen appeared next to the buzzer showing an attractive female in her mid 30's.
"Hello is Gregory Tsvetkov there?" Heidi asked.
"He is not at the moment, who are you?"
"I'm his step-daughter."
"His... step-daughter?" She responded, a bit surprised.
"Yes, hasn't he told you about me?"
"No..."
"Would you mind if I waited inside for him, I am only in the city for a few days and I was hoping to see him."
The woman looked around the room for a moment before saying, "Sure, come on up."
The two girls wandered into a florid foyer, the floors were marble and the walls were coated in paintings, all originals from the 19th and 20th century. They walked to an elevator and went up to the sixth floor.
