Interlude: The Birth of Fear
North Ghana, July, 2016.
Rising Tensions throughout more traditional African people had caused many to segregate themselves from the government, they were branded as rebels and were usually taken care of swiftly. A few organized groups arose throughout the area to take in these 'rebel.' The most powerful group was one led by a man named Amadi.
Amadi was a large man, around 195 centimeters tall, with visible muscles. He had short black, curly, hair, and brown eyes. He spoke charismatically, with force and meaning, rarely resorting to violence.
His brother on the other hand, Olabode, was different, being built like a mountain, he always used his body to intimidate and force his way. Amadi tried to convince him to stop, but eventually gave up and used his brother in his organization because of his demeanor.
Their base of operations was a large compound in North Ghana. There were makeshift walls made of sandbags surrounding dozens of tents. They had about forty guards around at any given time, and the tents were full of hundreds of citizens.
At the center of the compound was Amadi and his family's tent. Olabode, Amadi's wife and children, and their mother lived there with him as well.
Amadi was slumped over a map, Olabode sitting across from him.
"Brother," Amadi said, rubbing his temple, "We need to leave Ghana tomorrow..."
"What can the government really do?" Olabode said, cockily.
"Don't underestimate them. They want to show a power play... They're up to something."
"We have so many guards that without the army, we're perfectly fine."
"I guess you're right..."
A man walked from the desert as they said this. He was dressed in a long white suit with a pink undershirt. He had a white fedora with a pink ribbon around it. He has blonde hair that was greased back and a light blonde beard. He had grey, piercing eyes, demonic in their nature.
Half the guards were away at the moment guarding citizens collecting water and food with multiple citizens.
The two guards that saw him raised their AK-47's and yelled, in English, "Who are you?"
The man smirked and slipped two knives from his sleeves, throwing them both into the two guards foreheads. He casually continued on, ripping the knives from their heads as he walked by their corpses. He continued on to the center of the camp.
He stood about ten meters from Amadi's tent when a dozen guards surrounded him in a semi-circle. Two of them moved closer as they yelled, "Who the fuck are you? How did you get in here?"
"I walked in," he said, smiling.
They lowered their guns a small amount as they got within arm's length of the man. He quickly slit both their throats at the same time. He dropped the two knives afterwards and grabbed their collars, pulling them atop him as the others began firing. He picked up the two guns dropped by the dead men then as soon as there was a lapse in the gunfire he dove out from between the two bodies. He held up the two guns and fired a stream mid-air, killing all the guards quickly.
Olabode and Amadi left their tent the moment gunfire was heard, they watched the scene and were shocked. The man slowly got up, dropping the two rifles. He looked into Amadi's eyes with the eyes of a demon, cold and focused.
He pulled out a knife from his belt and threw it into Amadi's forehead, clean, fast, instantaneous.
Olabode was stunned as he watched his brother fall to the ground. He stood still for a moment before looking into the man's eyes.
"I will kill you," Olabode said, slowly.
He charged at the man, who quickly jumped out of the way, kicking Olabode in the back of the knee, making him fall forward.
"What's that line," the man said, "The bigger they are, the harder they fall?" he began laughing.
Olabode shot up and charged at the man again, stopping a half a meter away, just as he jumped out of the way again. Olabode swung his fist in the direction of the man's jump, but missed, as the man leaned backwards, mid-jump. The man then threw a knife into Olabode's knee, causing him to fall once more. Not wasting time, Olabode got up once more, blood pouring from his knee and he continued towards the man.
"Impressive," the man said, smiling.
He then ran behind Olabode and threw another knife into his other knee. Olabode didn't fall, he simply turned around, every fiber of his being trying to force him to fall as he took two more steps towards the man. After those two steps he couldn't do it anymore, he fell to the ground, weak and in intense pain.
"Kill me now you son of a bitch!" Olabode yelled.
"No... you have a strong resolve, let me try and break it first."
He charged into the tent with one of the soldiers guns. Olabode heard gunfire from inside and the screaming of children and women. The man then walked out dragging the corpse of his sister's wife, she was riddled with bullets. The man dropped the body about four meters in front of Olabode. He unzipped his pants and pulled out his penis over the body. He began to urinate on her. Olabode began to drag himself towards them to stop it.
"Stop that you son of a bitch!" He yelled.
"Still strong eh?" he said, laughing. He put his penis away and walked towards Olabode and kicked him in the face. Olabode gripped his leg after that and dragged him down to the ground. He lifted up his fist before another knife went into his elbow. The man rolled away and got up again
"Fuck... you!"
"God damn... you're impressive for a nigger," he got up and moved back to the urine-stained dead body. He grabbed a rifle and aimed it at her body, firing the entire clip into her corpse
"Fuck.... you," he said, "Fuck... you!"
Olabode continued to drag himself along the ground.
"You've impressed me... I guess I won't kill you now," he said, laughing.
"Why?" Olabode inquired, stopping.
"Because I can!" he said. He turned around and laughed more as he sauntered out of the camp.
