The Curse

Chapter 7

Ilang araw ang lumipas at nagre ready na din kami ni Ashvin para sa kasal. We decided not to tell them. Si Freya at Noah lang ang nakakalam at tinutulungan kami minsan.

I told him to just prepare a simple wedding. But he said that I don't deserve that cheap wedding. I just rolled my eyes at him.

Nandito kami ngayon sa living room at nakikinig sa bangayan ng mga kaibigan namin nang biglang dumating si Westin.

"I'm back," he said with a smirked and lean on one of the couches. Tumaas naman ang kilay nila Eira.

"Hindi na kami tumatanggap ng palamunin." She said that made them agreed.

"Tama, sapat na si Cloud." Marius said that made Cloud pissed. Binato sya nito ng unan na agad naman nitong nasalo.

"Unfortunately, I need to finish my mission here with you guys. Kaya no choice kayo kung hindi tumanggap ng poging kasama sa bahay." Mayabang na sabi nito na ikinairap nila.

"Pass. Mahangin na nga ang mga Greeks dadagdag kapa?" Thanara said.

"You don't have any choice," Westin shrugged at binagsak ang katawan sa single sofa na sinasandalan kanina.

"What missio—." Cloud stopped talking, napatayo naman kami dahil sa gulat. He just collapsed on the floor and we was about to go near him when Freya collapsed too.

"Cloud!" Eira tried to call his name. Kami naman ay kay Freya pumunta.

"Shit. What's happening?" Atlas said while looking at Cloud.

Napalingon naman ako kay Noah na kalmado lang habang hawak hawak si Freya.

Napahinto kami ng bigla silang bumangon at kulay puti na ang mga mata. It's pure white, walang makikitang itim o kahit na anong kulay.

"Writing a prophecy in the book of life.
My daughter musn't experience a happy life,
Sadness and pain, in return of every laughters and smiles,
Even her children will experience the agony and sufferings,
The only escape is for her to die."

Cloud said but Freya's saying a different words.

"Their first born child will bring peace,
The people in the first prophecy will assist,
Complete and own the runes,
Rule the realm,
But needs a blood from the sin."

After they said those words, bumalik na sa itim ang mga mata nila. Nagaalalang dumalo si Eira kay Cloud na nakahawak lamang sa ulo. While Freya's all fine.

"What does it mean?" Belle asked confusedly.

Nagkatinginan naman kaming lahat. I felt Ashvin's held on my hand tightened.

"A prophecy." Noah answered and glance at me and Ashvin.

"Bakit magkaiba sila ng sinabi?" Venice asked, confusion is also evident on her voice.

"Dalawang propesiya ang nasa atin?" Marius asked.

"It's actually three," Thrax said that made their brows furrowed.

"How?"

"In Freya's prophecy, 'the people in the first prophecy will assist' she said." Thrax explained.

"What's the first prophecy? Sino ang tinutukoy doon?" Tanong naman ni Blade.

"That's what we need to know." Yesenia answered.

Bakas ang lito sa mga mata nila. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang dapat kong maramdaman.

It was mentioned twice. That we will have a kid.

Mas lalo akong natakot para sa kanya. Mas tumaas ang takot sa dibdib ko hindi para sa akin, kung hindi para sa magiging anak namin. Mas lalong ayokong magka anak...

"Sino ang anak na tinutukoy sa propesiya?" Westin asked while still lying comfortably on the sofa.

Napatingin naman silang lahat sa akin na ikinatango ni Westin.

"Then, I'll help." He said with finality. Wala namang sumagot at umangal. Tahimik lang kaming lahat at parang iniisip ang mga impormasyong nalaman.

"Are you...afraid?" Napalingon ako kay Ashvin ng kausapin nya ako sa isip. I gulped and looked away.

"Please don't, remember that I'm always here. We'll overcome all of this." He squeezed my hand that made me feel secured.

"Magkaiba ang propesiya na sinabi nila. Alin ang mangyayari sa atin?" Eira asked after minutes of silence.

"Let's focus on the second one, but never forget the first one." Thrax said.

"The first one looks like a curse," Haze suddenly said. As usual, it's still cold.

"Close to it," Thanara commented.

"I want to ask my father about it," Noah said while caressing Freya's hand.

"He won't give you a word for sure, o baka mas pahirapan nya pa tayo." Aidan said that made them agree.

"Let's just try," Noah shrugged and tried to call his father.

"Aidan is right. Why did you even call me?" Narinig naming sagot nito, he looks bored.

"We don't know where to start," Noah said and sighed.

"Find the first prophecy," he shortly said and immediately cut the connection. Nagkatinginan na naman kaming lahat.

Frustrated na sinabunutan ni Cloud ang buhok.

"Nakakabaliw pala to," he commented.

"Can we talk?" I asked Ashvin. Napalingon naman sya sa akin at napakagat sa ibabang labi. Dumaan ang sakit sa mata nya bago ngumiti sa akin at tumango.

Tahimik kaming umalis at naglakad paakyat sa kwarto. Nang makapasok ay agad syang humarap sa akin.

"Don't say anything stupid, Linnaea." Kabadong sabi nya na nagpatawa sa akin.

"I won't," I said that made him sighed in relief.

"I just want to say that..." I slowly said while looking at our hands. Humigpit ang hawak nya doon.

"Wag mokong pinapakaba, Linnaea." Frustration was evident on his voice that made me chuckled.

"Wag mokong iiwan ha?" I heard him gasped at my question.

"W-what are you saying?" He asked, almost whispered.

Ngumiti naman ako sa kanya at inabot ang pisngi nya.

"Wag mo lang akong iwan. Kahit iyon lang."

"That's pure bullshit, Linnaea. You know that I can't live without you!" Kunot noong sabi nya at hinila ako palapit.

"I know." I just said and let our warmth embrace each other. Naramdaman ko ang paghalik nya sa ulo ko.

Right now, isa lang ang nasa isip ko. It's also the thing that I'm wishing for.

Just don't leave me, Ashvin.
