The Curse

Chapter 19

"Trust them," 

 Napasinghap ako at bumangon mula sa pagkakahiga. I held my chest because of fast breathing. I'm fucking tired of that word. 

I scanned the whole room and disappointment crept in me when I didn't felt his presence. What the fuck is their games again?

Tamad akong bumangon at pinilit ang sariling kumilos. I was about to sat on the bed again when I remembered his words yesterday. We'll meet later at night. 

That thing kept me on going. Naisipan ko din na kausapin na si Ama para mawala ang mga iniisip ko. That's why I'm here in front of the Kingdom of Acer because of Father's words.

I walked inside the palace and the soldiers bowed on me. Tuloy tuloy pa din ako at nakita ang Hari na naghihintay sa ibaba ng hagdan. Napaayos sya ng tayo nang makita ako at agad akong sinalubong. We bowed at each other for acknowledgement. But he even kneel and reached for my hand which I immediately refused.

"I'm fine," I said and gestured him to stand up. Tumango naman sya at ngumiti. Gusto kong mapailing dahil kakaiba ang mga tingin at ngiti nya.

"Let's head to the library?" He asked with a different tone. I clenched my jaws and silently followed him. Nasa tabi ko lang sya mismo--pero mas nauuna ako. I walked slowly because I felt his stares on my body at the back.

Nang makarating sa tapat ng isang malaking pinto ay binuksan iyon ng mga kawal na nandoon. He gestured my to enter first but I stopped on my tracks when I saw the insides of the room.

"This isn't the library," I said coldly. I saw him smirked before nodding.

"The library is inside, sweetheart." 

I was just clenching my jaws the whole time. My eyes are void of emotions while looking at him put a tea down. 

"I can't see any books." I said instead without scanning the whole place--or not letting him knew that I was scanning his room.

"You're not here to talk about business, right?" He asked with brows arched and sipped on the cup. He's doing it in a dirty way--and he looked at me like he's trying to hypnotize me which is funny.

"I am the Princess of our kingdom. What makes you think that I'm here for something else?" I asked and raised may hand.

"Besides, I'm married." napataas ang kilay nya sa sinabi ko at naibaba ang tea cup. Tumayo sya at lumapit sa akin. 

He's wearing a royal outfit, but I can't see his handsomeness. Unlike Ashvin who's just wearing a hoodie or a plain shirt but still attractive. He can pull off anything, he's handsome at everything--or more like when he's naked--.

"Then why are you here?" Hindi ko namalayan na nakalapit na pala sya at nakayuko na ngayon sa akin. Our faces are inches away from each other. I glared at him but he just smirked before reaching my chin. Hahawakan nya sana yon ng mag teleport ako papunta sa ibang sulok ng kwarto. Naiwan sya doon at parang na estatwa pa.

"Can't hold me?" I asked while slowly smirking. Galit na sya ngayon base sa mata nya. He run towards me and tried to catch me. Panay lamang ang iwas ko nang mahablot nya ang buhok ko. 

He's holding a handful of my hair, nagulat ako nang bigla nya iyong hilahin kaya napaatras ako.

"I don't care if you are the Daughter of a God--."

"Who told you I'm a daughter of a God?" I cutted him while preparing myself. I saw his brows furrowed. I took that chance to struck his arm by lightning. Nabitawan nya ang buhok ko at nakita namin kung paano nahulog ang braso nya sa sahig.
