Nova
Stage 3- Bargaining
Desperation has never been more consuming then it is now. When your head is a mess and you'd do anything you can to just cope with the loss, you begin to feel desperate. So desperate that you'd be willing to do almost anything to stop the pain for just a second. Some may turn to religion, begging that someone above saves them. Some may scream at the universe, screaming that they take them instead. Others, may promise to no one but themselves they'll be a better person just so there loved ones is alive.
But no one talks about what happens after you've begged, screamed and promised that you are left with absolutely nothing but helplessness. No one tells you that all you can do is think, think about every moment you had with them and think just maybe if I didn't do that.
"God, Grayson! I can't keep doing this." I throw my hands up frustrated.
Grayson turns to face me, his eyes darken and his face drops. "Do what, Nova? All we do is argue and fuck!" He yells.
"That's what I mean! I'm done, what ever this was. It's over." I point towards me and him shaking my head tiredly.
"So that's it?" He asks his voice lowering. I turn my back to him biting my lip to stop myself from crying.
"That's it." I whisper.
"No-
"Nova?" I blink my eyes coming back to reality. I look to see Liam watching me carefully.
"Hey." I pass him a small smile clearing my throat.
"You okay?" I close my eyes at the same question I'm always hearing.
"I'm fine, Liam. What do you want?" I get to the point.
"Just making sure you're okay." He shrugs leaning against the kitchen side. "Which you're not but we won't go into that." He mutters.
"Thank you Liam, but I'm tired so I'm gonna get some rest." I slide myself off from the stool and begin to make my way upstairs.
"Nova," I sigh and turn around. "Last time I promise, you taking care of yourself? You look a little sick." I scoff at the comment but brush it off.
"Thanks, again, I'm fine." I finally make it up the stairs without anymore stops and quickly close the door behind me. It's still hard to come into the room but I have no choice, we're leaving soon and I have to pack the rest of our stuff.
My hand goes to his shirt hanging off of the chair. I bring it up to my face and inhale his scent. I close my eyes and imagine him holding me.
"I think you're secretly a big teddy bear." I smile down at Grayson, his head resting on my stomach.
He snuggles closer to me groaning in annoyance. "I'm not soft or fluffy." He mumbles. I run my hands through his hair and hum.
"You feel fluffy." I chuckle pulling on his hair. He lets out a relaxed sigh and the corners of my mouth lift, I always knew he liked it when I did that.
"Well, I'm definitely not soft." He kisses my lower belly making my body warm.
"Is that so?" I tease, running my nails lightly down his back.
