Chapter Twenty-Six:
Rogue's Mission

Rogue

"You're seriously down bad, bro." Ismid ni Sid.

"I've been down bad for her since I was 16, it's only right that I finally do this." I told him.

I stared at the ring with the perfect cut, I'm sure Sapphire would love this. It was a Sapphire ring with sixteen tiny little diamonds surrounding it. It symbolizes her and our age when our love first started.

"I would never buy a girl a ring that costs a quarter of my furtune, hell to the no." He says.

"You're only saying that because you haven't met 'the one'." I looked at him.

"And even if I was to meet 'the one', he or she will not get a ring that costs that much." He repeats.

"We'll see about that in a few years." Sabi ko nalang, dismissing the topic.

I patiently waited outside the arrival area of the airport, I was waiting for Sapphire to come home. She had some things to sort out in Japan for a few weeks but she promised to be home on time before Christmas.

I had been planning the perfect proposal for her ever since we got back together. She deserved the best, that's all I know.

Sa lahat ng hirap na pinag-daanan namin, I can certainly feel that this is finally it, eto na yung pinaka-dadasal namin na panahon.

Our own version of a happy ending.

Alam ko na wala namang perfect, hindi lahat ng araw magiging masaya at maliwanag. But I also know, that this time, handa na kami, after so many years apart and a little time together; we are finally going to seal the deal.

Matagal ko na dapat 'to ginawa, kahit nung sa mga panahon na ipinag bu-buntis niya palang ang panganay namin at hindi pa patag ang relasyon namin; I knew I wanted to marry her.

I did not want to promise her anything, I wanted to prove to her that I can do everything and anything for as long as she trusts and loves me.

Her love is what keeps me going.

"I see her." Mabilis na tinapik ni Sid ang braso ko. "How long did she stay in Japan? She looked like she gained so much weight, no offense."

I hissed, napaka judgemental talaga ng pinsan ko na to. "You better not say that in front of her, you're going to offend her. Please Sid, stop pointing out things like that."

"Sorry." He didn't mean it.

"Sorry my ass, u-ulitin mo naman ulit." I rolled my eyes.

I got outside the vehicle to meet her.

She stopped on her tracks and looked at me dumbfounded. "Hey, love!" Magiliw na sabi ko.

"Uy! L-Love, ang bilis mo naman sumalubong." Sabi niya.

My cheeks were starting to hurt because I was smiling so hard. "Ako pa, sabi ko naman sayo na su-sunduin kita eh. Kamusta flight mo? Pagod ka ba? May gusto ka kainin?" Sunod-sunod na tanong ko.
