Chapter Five

Kate's POV

After we ate breakfast I went upstairs to take a shower and get ready. Today me, Meghan, and Joey are going to the mall and going shopping. I take a steamy shower and put on a white lace tank top and some coral shorts. I blow dry my hair and put it in a messy bun with a bandana. Then I put on a little bit of make up to make me look presentable. I then put on my black converse and wait for Joey and Meghan downstairs. 

About 15 minutes later Meghan and Joey come down and we get in Joey's car

<At the Mall>

We walk into the mall and we make a list of the places we want to go. I want to go to Aero and Kohl's, Meghan wants to go to Holister, and Joey wants to go to Top Man. We first go to Top Man because it was right there when we walked in. Meghan and I stood around akwardly because we really didn't want to look at any of the men's clothes.

"So, what do you think about LA?" Meghan asked

"It's great. So much better than living with Brian" I said

"What do you think about Joey?" she asked winking

"He's great. Super nice guy. He must really sweep his girlfriend off his feet" I said

"He doesn't have a girlfriend" she says

"Seriously? I don't believe that" I said looking over at Joey

"You guys would be the cutest couple" she said looking at Joey

"Meghan! I just met him yesterday!" I said

"I know but don't you believe in love at first sight? I see the way you look at him. You deffinatly like him" she said

"Okay, maybe I like him a little bit. So what? It's not like he's going to ask me out" I said

"I wouldn't be too sure of that" Meghan says with an evil smirk. I laugh and Joey walks over.

"Okay, off to Aero!" he says

We walk to Aero and buy some clothes. I get some jean shorts and some cute tank tops. Meghan gets a pair of shorts. 

"Oh shoot I completely forgot! I have a meeting I'm supposed to be at in a half an hour! You guys keep shopping, I'll see you at home later!" Meghan says winking at me before she turns around and leaves. 

"Well, I guess it's just you and me" Joey says. I smile and try not to blush. We go to Kohl's and I get a few tops and Joey got a tank top. 

"Are you hungry?" Joey asked

"Yeah, I'm starving!" I check my phone and see that it's 1:45 p.m.

"Well let's go eat!" he said taking my hand. I feel my face turning red and follow him to the food court. There really weren't that many places to eat so we went to the pizza place.

"Hello, welcome to Joe's Pizza. What can I get you?" the lady behind the counter asks. I order a slice of sausage pizza and Joey orders a salad. We get our food and find a table to sit at.

"So Kate, how do you like living in Los Angeles so far?" he asks taking a bite of his salad

"It's great! I don't know why I didn't move out here sooner. I'm so glad Meghan had an extra room" I say

"Well, I'm glad you moved in" he says smiling. I smile back and we finish eating our late lunch. We leave and go out to Joey's car and we get in.

"Hey Kate, is it okay if we stop at Whole Foods so I can get some stuff?" he says putting on his seat belt.

"Sure!" I say. We drive to Whole Foods and Joey gets all the stuff he needs. We check out and I help him carry the bags.

"Thanks Kate" he said walking out into the parking lot. We put the bags in the trunk and just stare at eachother for a few seconds. His beautiful green eyes stare into my hazel eyes. It's like we're frozen in time. Then he starts to lean in and kisses me on the lips.
