Chapter Ten

<Kate's POV>

"What do you mean you think he's coming?" I say nervously

"I mean, you need to be ready for him to show up at our door" Meghan says "Listen Kate I have to go. If you need anything call me okay? Bye" I drop my phone on the floor. I don't even care if it's broken. I start to see black everywhere. I start to feel light headed and the world goes black.

<Joey's POV>

I wake up and Kate's not next to me. I get out of bed and go to Kate's room to see if she's getting dressed or getting ready. I open her door but she's not there. I start to get a little bit worried. I look in the bathroom and she's not there either. She's probably just downstairs making breakfast. I walk down the stairs. I see Kate on the floor. I run towards here. I put my head on her chest to listen for a pulse. Her heart is beating. Thank God. I grab my phone and dial 911. 

<Kate's POV>

I wake up but I can't open my eyes. I feel someone holding my hand, Joey. I want to open my eyes and I want to hold his hand back but it's like my body won't listen to me. All I can do is listen. Then I hear Joey start to cry. This kills me so much that I can't help him at all. I try with all my might to open my eyes or move at all but I can't

<Joey's POV> 

We get to the hospital and I am forced to wait in the waiting room. I call Meghan and David and they were on their way (They were coming home already today) I wait for what seems like days and the doctor tells me that I can see her. I walk to her room and I feel the tears in my eyes. Kate looks completely different. It's like the life was sucked out of her. Her skin was pale and she looked lifeless. I pull up the only chair in the room and sit next to her. I hold her hand and I almost start to cry.

"Kate?" I say my voice wobbling "If you can hear me, I just want you to know that I love you and that we're going to get through this okay? You are strong and beautiful and you are capable of more than you think. I love you so much and..... and" then I lost it. I started balling my eyes out. I leave the room and go to the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror and I see my eyes are red and my hair's a mess. There are tears on my cheeks and I look like a wreck. After I calm down I go back to Kate's room. I wait until Meghan and David get there which is only a few minutes. I hug Meghan and she hugs me back.

"I called Kate's mom. She's on her way here" Meghan says. Meghan sits in the seat where I sat and holds Kate's hand. Then the doctor walks in.

"Hello there. Which one of you is Mr. Graceffa?" he asks looking at his clipboard.

"I am sir" I say standing up and walking towards him, "What's wrong with her?"

"She had an anxeity attack. Right now she's recovering from it. She could be asleep for up to a week, possibly longer. We just have to wait. There's nothing we can do besides make sure that she is plugged into all the wires all the time, which shouldn't be a problem" He says

"Thank you doctor" I say. He walks out and closes the door behind him. Meghan looks at me and gets up.

"If she wakes up, you should be the first thing she sees" Meghan says sitting on the couch with David. I sit back down by Kate and hold her hand. My heart aches to see her beautiful hazel eyes and her warm smile. To hear her laugh and to kiss her. I wait and wait for my beautiful girl to wake up.

<Two days later>

Kate still hasn't woken up. I'm starting to worry, what if she never wakes up? Her mom got here yesterday and hasn't left since. 

"So are you and Kate good friends?" her mother asks

"You could say that. She's my best friend" I say looking at her

"I see. Well, her boyfriend should be here any minute" she says

"Her boyfriend? Who exactly is her 'boyfriend'?" I say getting worried

"His name is Brian. Why?" she asks confused

"Ma'am, I'm Kate's boyfriend. The reason Kate moved here was to get away from Brian" I say

"Oh my gosh, she never told me. I am so sorry, um" she says pausing

"Joey, Joey Graceffa" I say

"Joey I feel so stupid. I should have known since you were holding her hand and you are here all the time that you were her boyfriend" she says. I hear the door creak open.

"Joey Graceffa, we have some things to discuss" the person says

Ahaha another cliffhanger! I hope you guys liked this part! Just a little heads up! I'm not going to be able to update until maybe tuesday.
