Prolouge

When Ivy Lee was just 7 years old her childhood house burnt down. After that,her and her 17 year old sister, Jennifer,moved in with their Grandparents. When Jennifer turned 18 she bought a small apartment and took care of Ivy. She got Ivy into hockey and paid for everything. She was kinda like Darry in the outsiders,but less strict. Ivy loved her life in New York. She still does. She had friends and loves big cities. The only thing was that she   Didn't like was driving past her old neighborhood,the one with the old house that Burnt down.

Well enough about that. She was on a hockey team called the bats. She loved that team with her wholeeeeeeeeeeeee heart. Her whole team was so welcoming. Her jersey number was #20.

Ivy was at practice with her team,coach Amber wasn't there so they were goofing off. When Coach Amber came in everyone stopped. Coach was 5'2 and a brunette with big brown eyes. When you first look at her you would think, "oh she's so nice",well she was.She was also very bossy,but ivy loved her.

"Lee come over here" she yelled Ivy nodded and started skating over to her. "Ivy, meet don tibbles,he needs to ask you an important question." "Hi Ivy Lee,me and my team at Hendrix hockey apparel Have decided you are a great fit for Team USA. And was wondering if you wanted to go play for them for the Junior goodwill games?" "I would love too!" "Great! We've already asked your sister and she said that you are allowed too! Your flight to Minneapolis is on Thursday at 6:15 a.m" "this Thursday?" It was already Tuesday. "Yep! See you there"

"What did she want?" Ivy's friend,Mary, said looking at her. "I got on Team USA!" The whole team cheered for her. "Wait- ivy,your leaving?" Ivy's other friend Johnny (stay gold)said. Johnny had a rough family life and always slept at Ivy's house when his family was fighting. "Don't worry Johnny,Jennifer will let you stay at my house,you can sleep in my room while I'm gone." "Alright" "I'll come help you pack" Mary said.

Time skip to Thursday

This what it. It was the last day she would see her friends for around a month. She was gonna miss everyone. Johnny spent the night Wednesday night. It was 4:00 and ivy was getting ready to leave for the airport. She left Johnny a note saying.

Hey Johnny,it's ivy.I'm gonna miss you so much. Don't worry I won't be gone for long. I'll call whenever I can,promise. I just wanted to let you know that you can crash in my room anytime. I already cleared it up with Jenny. She'll take care of you while I ain't here. Miss you already.See you when I get back

She left it by where he was sleeping and quietly walked out of the room with her stuff. Johnny was her best friend,more like a little brother than anything. They met when she was 12 and he was 10. She was gonna miss him so much.

"Ready to go?" Jennifer whispered. "Yeah,let's go" Jennifer nodded and walked out the front door and locked it. "Imma miss Johnny" "yeah

At the airport

"Alright bye Ivy,I love you." Jenny was on the verge of tears. "I love you too,I'll call when I get there" Ivy took her luggage and walked away from the car.

She went through security and stuff,which room about an hour so it was 5:10. She was walking around and looking at stuff till she had to be at her gate which was at 6. "Excuse me" ivy turned around to be met with a young girl and her mom. "Hello?" "My girl,she really loves watching you play hockey. Could she get a picture with you?" "I'd be delighted" the little girl slowly walked over to you and put her arm around your waist and smiled.

Ivy was on the plane and finally landed in Minneapolis.
