Predictably, since it involved Lisa Diamond, the case was assigned to the Sector 1 D.E.B.S.
Trained in the art of quick deployment, the girls were soon on their way to the robbery site with Jennie driving in stony silence as music blasted, covering up the awkward tension between them.
Chaeyoung didn't dare ask Jennie for a hair tie. She was just glad she had remembered to do a half-tie with a little knot at the back.
Her heart clenched when she remembered how Jennie used to say she looked like a princess whenever she wore her hair in that style, but Jennie didn't say anything at all now.
The music was interrupted by Mr Teddy's transmission as his face appeared on the small screen built in next to the stereo.
"The bank employees are being held hostage. Lisa and her cohorts are still inside. Apprehend the suspect, recover the money. The bank is coming up on your left. D.E.B.S be careful," he added and it might have been Chaeyoung's imagination, but his eyes seemed to betray a degree of concern.
She shook herself and responded. "Copy that, Mr T."

Watching over the vault as it was being emptied, with the cash secured in sacks, Kook checked in with his scouts over his walkie-talkie.
"Progress report."
"D.E.B.S spotted enroute, ETA two minutes."
"Copy that," Kook replied and walked over to a nearby staff bathroom where Lisa was busy flossing in the mirror.
"D.E.B.S enroute, two minutes," he relayed.
Lisa stood back, smoothing her ponytail, patting her bangs swept aside and brushing down her black leather jacket.
"Do I look okay?"
She had opted to wear a maroon shirt today, foregoing her usual all black ensemble—she felt like a pop of colour might help bring out the colour in her cheeks and make her look more attractive.
Chaeyoung had commented on her tendency to wear black the night before so Lisa decided she was going to break the mold and prove that she could do things differently.
It was time to move on from her depressive black wardrobe anyway, unless today would turn out to be an utter humiliation.
Kook looked her up and down. "This is ridiculous," he said at last and left to secure their escape route.
Lisa shrugged. That was good enough a compliment as Kook would give her today.
She knew he was still pretty disgruntled with her for ordering a bank heist at such short notice but she had promised him he could buy all the Froot Loops his heart desired for the next two months (since she usually nagged him for consuming too much sugar).
She turned back to check her teeth and floss some more, wanting everything to be perfect when Chaeyoung showed up, excitement already firing her up for the meeting.
The moment of truth was upon them.

Jennie pulled up to the bank, which appeared deserted. The police squadrons had been notified and would arrive for back up but for now, it was the D.E.B.S' job to infiltrate and apprehend Lisa and her cronies.
Chaeyoung scanned the surroundings, apprehension building in her chest as she nibbled her thumb. Her heart was thumping, but unlike other times, she was pretty sure it wasn't because of the adrenaline in her system.
This time round it felt...personal.
Because of Lisa.
"Park?" Jennie's sharp voice broke her out of her reverie.
