‘I’m going out,’ I called over my shoulder stepping out of the apartment and into the cool night.

I crossed the dark car park and pulled my jacket around me tighter, and manually opened the small red death trap that got me from A to B. Ashley had been kind enough to point to Harry’s house the other night when I was leaving her home, mostly because she was going to his but then he texted saying he was at hers.

I navigated my way through the secluded streets until I arrived at the tall white building, there were only a few papparrazi’s outside now, I managed to shove my way through them until I arrived at the door of the house, I heard someone on the inside walk over to it, and the sliding of a shutter so that someone could look though the peephole.

‘January?’ Harry clarified thorough the expensive wood.

‘Yeah, can I come in?’ I replied, his response was opening the door and he hurried me inside.

I stood in a cavernous hallway, with shining wooden floors, and a crystal chandelier swinging from the ceiling, there were Cinderella stairs that led to the next level of the house. Lining the hall were many cardboard boxes.

‘Come on through,’ Harry encouraged, leading me into the living room/kitchen. The living room too was lined with cardboard boxes and in the centre there was a black leather corner sofa and a large flat screen TV on the wall.

‘So, to what do I owe the pleasure?’ Harry asked me, turning to face me; he looked at me for a split second horrified; ‘he didn’t?’

I shook my head, ‘I just wanted to thank you, for earlier, not saying anything, it meant a lot.’

‘I wish you would leave him.’ Harry murmured.

‘I couldn’t.’ I replied shortly, I paused for a moment, looking round the room, ‘where are you going?’ I asked confused.

‘Ashley’s news,’ he explained.

‘I didn’t realise so much of her stuff was here,’ I answered.

‘It’s not,’ Harry said confused.

‘What?’ I said equally so, ‘wait you’re going too?’

He shrugged, trying to appear blasé, ‘she’s my girlfriend.’

‘What about the band?’ I asked him shocked, he shrugged again.

‘Let’s face it, the band’s futures in the states.’

‘What aboutUKdirectioners?’ I said, ‘you’ve only been with Ashley for about six weeks.’

‘When you know, you know.’

‘What about a worker’s visa?’ I demanded, he shrugged again, god that was really starting to annoy me.

‘I’ll work it out over there and live on my savings for now.’

He walked over to one of the cupboards and opened it, ‘do you want something I’d like to get this all gone.’

I shook my head, not sure how he could think so practically right now, this was so stupid.

I heard heels clicking down the stairs, I turned to see Ashley in the doorway, ‘I thought I heard voices,’ she said smiling and giving me a hug.

‘Have you told her?’ She said to Harry, who nodded, helping himself to what I thought was an out of date cracker.

‘It’s great,’ I said, giving her a fake smile.

‘I know isn’t it?’ she beamed, ‘I was really worried that this would be the end,’ she walked over and but a hand around Harry’s waist, who returned to the gesture, ‘but Harry wasn’t going to give up that easy, he insisted we left.’
