I had to give him this much he was good, better than me, as soon as I went for him he responded by catching me in the jaw with his fist.

“I told you I would protect her more than you could.” He spat which I rubbed my jaw, I swung for him again, catching him in the nose, blood trickled from it. He went for my gut and we scuffled for a few moments until the door opened.

“Harry…” a voice said before suddenly shouting, “get the hell off each other.” I glanced up from my attack to see Simon glaring at us in pure anger. When we didn’t stop Simon walked over and tried to pull Jamie off me, who had managed to sit on my torso to hit me in the face repeatedly. As soon as Jamie was off me I rolled over and hit him in the face.

“Security!” Simon yelled and a familiar face emerged. Paul.

“Harry what are you doing?” he demanded using his strength to pick me up by the waist and pulling me away from Jamie who jumped up immediately.

“He had it coming!” I protested, I heard footsteps, Louis ran in.

“Harry what the fuck is going on here?” he demanded.

“He told me it was all my fault.” I was still shouting for some reason.

“It was!” Jamie yelled trying to launch himself at me again. But Louis pushed him back.

“Why don’t you two wise the fuck up?!” Paul cried, “Harry you forfeited any rights to January’s life when you broke up with her, Jamie you fighting with her ex is the last thing she needs right now, now why don’t you both go and clean yourselves up before she sees you.”

I wiped my nose which was bleeding with the back of my hand, not before throwing Jamie a glare I walked out.

“Hey are you ready to go?” January smiled but it slid off her face when she seen mine, “what the fuck happened to you?” she gasped.

“Harry happened.”

“What!” she cried, “he hit you?”

I nodded, “he showed me the scars, which you failed to mention by the way and then he launched himself at me.”

“What did you say?” She demanded.

“That’s the first thing you jump to right it was my fault,” I said annoyed, she rolled her eyes.

“Harry’s not a psychopath, he’s not going to hit you for no reason.” She sighed.

“we talked about…about that night.” I admitted, her head snapped around.

“Why?” she asked, “why does that even matter?”

“I wanted to know why he was still hanging around after you!” I shouted.

“We need to go,” she said, pulling off her shirt and trousers and pulling on a dark black dress. “Get changed and wipe the blood off your face.”

I nodded and left the room to go get into my suit and tie. I washed my face and then went to the left wing of the stage. I walked to the centre were January already was standing.

“I’m sorry,” I said, “but you’ve made mistakes too.” She looked down embarrassed, “I forgave you.”

“Don’t do it again,” she whispered.

I nodded.

“And with Just a Kiss, it’s the X Factor’s very own power couple, Jamie and January.”

“Lyin' here with you so close to me
