“Hey you,” I walked in, January was still lying in her bed, she groaned when I whipped open the blinds and the sun shone in. She had given me a key to her place…we hadn’t done anything like that yet. She hadn’t brought it up and after everything that had happened with Darren I didn’t want to bring it up myself.

“Why do you always have to do that?” She groaned flipping over onto her stomach.

“C’mon babe, we need to finish the song.” She threw a pillow at me.

I caught it and threw it on the ground, “I brought a guitar playing Irish man,” I told her, Niall came in behind me.

“Is this not weird me being in your girlfriend’s bedroom.” Niall said.

“January, you’re making Niall feel awkward.” I told her.

“Niall can go to kitchen with you.” She told the pillow.

“I am pretty hungry mate,” Niall piped up.

“There’s food in the fridge, bacon I think,” I told Niall, he exited the room, I went over to the bed and sat down beside January, “C’mon, we need to finish.”

“I like it like it is.” She mumbled.

“We only written a few verses,” I murmured.

She rolled over and looked up at me, “Fine,” she yawned stretching; she got out of bed and walked over to the wardrobe. She looked back at me.

“You okay there?” she asked.

I leaned back on the bed, “I’m great,” she took off her pyjama top behind the wardrobe door and threw it at me over the door.

“Right, I’m going, I’m going.” I muttered getting up, and going out the door, “Nice bra by the way,” I joked from the doorway, even though I hadn’t looked.

“Funny enough, I’m not wearing one,” I heard her say.

“Oh god,” I moaned heading into the kitchen, were Niall happily munched a bacon butty.

“You and her are weird.” Niall commented just as January entered the room in sweatpants and a light pink top her hair pulled into a messy ponytail.

“Harry gave me the chords you were talking about, you got most of them right,” Niall told her. She gave a sheepish smile; she had only recently divulged that she was an amateur guitar player.

“So we only need a few more versus,” She told him smiling.

“I think I left my phone in your room,” I said, patting my jeans.

“Go on ahead and check,” January told me. I got up and went into her room, her phone was buzzing. I picked it up and grabbed my own from the bed, I went back into the kitchen were her and Niall were discussing the intro to the next song.

“You have a text,” I informed her, something flashed across her face, surprise? Fear?

“Thanks.” She said, taking it off me, she clicked it open.

“Can’t wait to meet you in person,” he read aloud, “don’t you hate it when fans get your number?” Niall chuckled, January gave a laugh.

“Yeah, really annoying.” She murmured.

It wasn’t until about three hours later that we had finished the song and Niall was all ready to get some food. January left to get a shower.

“Did Simon talk to you yesterday?” I asked him, Niall nodded.
