I held the letter in my hand before running to the door, I put back on my shoes an ran out of the house running back to the side walk. I remembered which way Adam ran so I ran that direction hoping to maybe see him or see where he lives so I can tell him. I got to the corner an looked around when I saw a familiar blonde standing on a porch
D- Adam!
he turned an looked at me holding the same letter I had, I ran onto his porch as he looked at me noticing the damp letter
A- I see you got the news to?
D-yes!! aren't you excited! we got accepted into Eden!!!
A- yeah I'm excited! you seem more hyped than me
I chuckled as his front door opened an a older than stood in the door frame
??- ah Adam who might this be?
A- mom this is Dakota Portman
she smirked at Adam before looking at me
??- I have heard so much about you, Adam never stops talking about you! I'm Zina
I held out my hand an she shock it
D- I'm Dakota, as you know
we both chuckled a little before she spoke up again
Z- couldn't help but over hear that you both got accepted into Eden, Dakota would you like to stay over? save your parents the drive of driving you to the airport

D-Um sure I just need to run home an grabbed my suitcase
Z- awesome! take your time kiddo, I will get the sleeping situation taken care of. Adam come help me
I sped walked off their porch an ran home smiling like crazy more than before walking into my house heading straight to my room. I opened the door an saw my mom cleaning up the mess on my floor
D- mom you really don't have to do that..
E- no but I want to, your suitcase is on your bed with your hockey bag.
I smiled at her before walking over to my bed grabbing my stuff
D- I'm gonna um stay with Adam an his mom until I leave, she is gonna drive us to the airport
E- okay sweetheart, I just want you to call me once you get your dorm
I nodded an she hugged me so tight
E- I will be sure you send you letters an call you as much as I can, I will miss you bean
I smiled as she kissed my cheek before I walked back downstairs and headed to Adam's. I knocked on the door an he let me in, I removed my shoes before he showed me to his room
A- you are staying in here with me, I hope that's alright
he looked back at me as I smiled
D- yeah I don't mind at all
he smiled back before taking my suitcase an placing it by his closet with my hockey bag as well before he sat on his bed so I copied his actions. we talked for a few before Zina came in
Z- hey guys! I have some snacks for you guys an drinks. I didn't know what you liked Dakota so I guessed
she placed the food on the dresser along with the drinks while we thanked her
Z- no need to say thank you, I got bored! I'm also making brownies so if you need me that's where i will be. also will be watching IT down stairs so you two have fun doing whatever it is you teens do
we chuckled as she left the room before I got up grabbed the snacks an drinks setting them on the bed by Adam before taking my seat. we started to eat an drink the stuff before I notice Adam's mood shift, I don't know how I noticed but I just did.
D- what's going on in that mind of yours dude?
he shrugged his shoulders as he put a chip in his mouth, I got up going to my suitcase grabbing out some clothes to change into
D- you know you can tell me right? I won't be mad
A- I know that..
I looked at him as he had a pillow over his face probably sensing i was gonna change

I stuffed my dirty clothes into my suitcase before walking back over to the bed sitting down in my spot removing the pillow from his head
D- come on tell me what's on that mind of yours
A- I don't know it's just um I don't know if I want to go to Eden
I looked at him confused as I took a sip of my water
D- why wouldn't you want to go? this is like the best thing that could happen to us
A- I know it's just I finally get to see my mom again an I haven't seen her in years! I have only been with her for 2 days an I'm already about to leave again
D- that's what letters an phone calls are for, she is really excited for you Banks! you can visit her on breaks an during summer! who knows she could come to our games
he nodded with a small smile

we both laughed an just continued to enjoy each others company, night time came around and we both were getting tired. he brought the food an drinks back to the kitchen before coming back to his room
A- I can sleep on the couch if you want
D- no it's uh fine, we both can share the bed. not like we haven't before
he chuckled but nodded, he turned off the lights while I climbed into his bed getting under the covers. he joined me an we both laid there before I made the bold choice to lay my head on his chest, as a few seconds he wrapped his arms around me
