Part 40 (@Vickystories21) ( this is one of my longest stories lmao)

the game was in 20 minutes so Adam an I walked to my locker an grabbed my hockey bag before we walked to the arena. we got there before the ducks so we started to get ready

A- hey I realized something today

I looked at him as I put on my pads

D- oh yeah? and that was?

A- you dressed exactly like me when I first arrived at Chicago expect without the sweats, whose the cake eater now?

I threw my shoe at him making him laugh which made me smile

A- there's that smile, kept smiling it's cute when you do

I rolled my eyes an slipped on my jersey before putting on my skates in which Adam tied them for me right as the other ducks came in. they were whooping an hollering about how we are gonna win and beat varsity's ass making me chuckle. we all got on the ice after Orion's pep talk and started warming up a bit, I was ready to let out my angry on these guys especially Rick. Varsity came out onto the ice and the game started, I was checking people and passing the puck to whoever I can pass it to which was usually Adam or Charlie whoever was closet. I had the puck right as Rick checked me causing me to lose it

R- better luck next time slut.

I got mad an got up fast skating after him, I hooked him which of course got me a penalty which I just smirked about and got into the box hitting the boards as I looked at the crowd who were cheering loud for it making me laugh. I finally was allowed back into the game an the score was 0 to 1, us winning so far by a point which was great. the buzzer went off right as Connie scored making us all cheer because it meant we won. we all skated to each other hugging so tight, I got to Connie as we both removed our helmets

Co- I'm sorry for everything, I miss having you as my friend! I'm not friends with Julie anymore after I saw what she did! forgive me?

I smiled at her 

D- I will always forgive you Connie, now hug me already!

she smiled back an we gave each other a hug bare hug, I felt a tap on my shoulder so I let go of Connie and turned to see Adam. we both smiled huge at each other before he put his hand on the side of my face and kissed me. Of course I kissed back as I heard the team cheering an Dean saying "ew!" we pulled apart an chuckled as Orion gave us a dad looking that made me laugh more. we got off the ice after had to shake hands with varsity I didn't of course, all I did was flip them off which got me in trouble for unsportsmanship. we all started removing our gear as Charlie was cheering with them team

C- I knew we could beat those stupid warriors! we are the better team!

we all screamed yeah an kept doing that before we started chanting right as someone entered the locker room

??- hope you don't mind me interrupting..

we all stopped and turned to the door seeing my mom an Scott standing there

De- mom? what are you doing here?

she smiled at him before looking at us both since we moved next to each other

E- I came to watch the game and I needed to talk to you both, can we go talk?

D- uh yeah just let us get out of our gear and we will be right out

she nodded an looked at the ducks

E- great game out there you guys

she left the locker room with Scott so Dean and i quickly changed before I gave Adam a quick kiss than grabbed my bag and walked out with Dean. Mom was standing by the door looking at us as we came out

De- what is it?

D- why do I have the feeling you didn't drive up here for the game

she sighed and looked at Scott before looking back at us

E- well I uh got a call from your principal with some concerns, he was telling me how these kids at school are tormenting you and told me how Dean beat the crap out of Rick Riley. for one Dean what the hell were you thinking beating him up?! do you know whose kid that is?!

Dean scuffed an crossed his arms

De- I don't give a fuck whose kid it is mom, he was disrespecting Dakota. I'm not gonna fucking let him do that and think it's okay! shouldn't you be happy that I stuck up for her?!

E- I will be happy when I don't get a call saying they might expel you! an Dakota, why didn't you come to us about this?! I'm your mother for god sake and Scott's your dad

I rolled my eyes when she called him my father

D- he isn't my dad, a father doesn't tell his daughter that he leaves because of her. he's is nothing to me, I don't need my mom to fight my battles for me. I'm fucking old enough to do it on my own.

she shook her head looking at Scott who nodded before speaking

S- that isn't the only problem here, Mr. Banks called me. he was telling me how he thinks you and Adam being together isn't the best opinion. he thinks your a bad influence on him and how Adam's academics an hockey performance was better before he met you

D- if you are trying to say Adam an I need to break up than go fuck yourselves, I love that boy with all my heart! you aren't taking him away over because his preppy ass dad who disowned him by the way wants to throw a hissy fit over the fact that his son wants nothing to do with him!

E- Dakota-

D- no! thank you for coming to watch the game but this conversation is over and I want NOTHING to do with either of you.

I stormed past them and started walking to my dorm, I stormed in and was about to slam the door but saw Adam already asleep in his bed so I quietly shut it and put my bag down. I took a quick shower getting into one of Adam's old Hawks hoodie and  my shorts before doing my home work at my desk with my lamp on. Once i did all of that I turned it off and climbed into bed, I gave Adam a quick kiss on the cheek before laying my head down on his cheek. I hadn't fallen asleep yet when I heard sniffling, I lifted my head up and turned on the bed side lamp before looking at Adam who was crying into his hands 

A- I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry

D- no Banks, don't say sorry..

I wrapped my arms around him pulling him into my brace, he started to cry harder into my chest which broke my heart. I kissed the top of him head while rubbing circles into his back while repeating "it's alright" "it's gonna be alright, I got you" I kept repeating that over and over again until he finally fell asleep. he worn himself out so much that he just fallen asleep.. it broke my heart to see him break down like that for the first time an I hope it's the last time
