Zero teleports outside of a volcano to which is connected to pipes streaming from the volcano to the city directly.Zero begins to dash towards the opening of the volcano. He cuts up a mech pilot and begins to climb, shooting down any aerial enemies to which try to harass him. During the climb he begins to talk to himself.
Zero: Why was Iris acting like that? That's not her.
Zero does a Rising Slash and Downward Stab to cut apart a Monbando.
Zero: Sure she wanted to live in a world with only Reploids in it when she first... died. But.. her demeanor was NOT her. I refuse to believe that she was the actual Iris.
Zero drops into the Volcano and pulls out his Chain rod to grab onto a ledge. He pulls himself up and runs through a narrow hallway.
Zero: strange, why haven't I seen any enemies, the only thing I see are valves.
He hears a molten noise. Zero looked behind him and he saw a flood of Molten lava. Zero then dashes away, wall jumping to try and get away from it.
Zero: Everywhere I go, I see molten lava!
Zero finds a door at the end of the hallway. Zero opens the door and rushes into the next room.
Zero: Phew, that was too-
Zero was then shot by a Nightmare Snake.
Zero: What?! You guys?! Ergh..
Zero began shooting at the Nightmare Snake, trying to destroy it. Zero, realizing his Buster is taking too long in destroying the Snake, pulls out his Boomerang Shield and throws it at the Snake. The Boomerang slices through the Snake and returns to Zero.
Zero: Now stay down: You were annoying the first 5 times.
Zero continues his trek, noticing the temperatures were rising. Temperatures began to reach over into 50 Million degrees Kelvin. Zero however was not bothered at these temperatures.
Zero: Alright, now for my biggest worry: the Maverick.
Zero entered the door to reveal a Magma platform to which he walked on. He wondered where the Maverick was. He looked up and saw a huge fire ball coming down. Zero instinctively dashed away and his temperature gauge within him began beeping. The Fireball got up and presented himself in a similar build to Blaze Heatnix, albeit blackened armor, looking thin and having a bright pink head. The Mavericks pink eye darted towards Zero.
Volcanic Vulture: Drats, I could've got rid of you in one single blow.
Zero: You.. Your temperatures are off the scale. You've just hit 100 Million Degrees Kelvin.
Volcanic Vulture: Ah, a compliment from the progenitor?
Zero: Progenitor?
Volcanic Vulture: Yes. The Progenitor of us Mavericks!Zero: Yeah right. That's a good joke. Mine is gonna me retiring you.
Volcanic Vulture: Keep telling yourself that Zero. One day, the truth will hit you like a truck. But we should be off to business.
Zero: Then stop talking and lets get to fighting!
Volcanic Vulture rushed at Zero, leaving a trail of fire in his wake. Zero used his Triple Rod to jump up to dodge the attack. Volcanic Vulture made a sharp turn to hit Zero. Zero uses the Triple Rod and wacks him to the other wall. Zero grabs the wall but lets go onto the ground. Volcanic Vulture brushed himself off and fired steaming fire from his mouth. However due to the temperatures the attacks were clocking in, they were more akin to plasma. Zero dodged two of the three shots, but one grazed him and compromised his armor. Zero: (Alright, can't get by this guy at all.).Zero fired Level 2 Z buster shots at Vulture, but it wasn't phasing this guy at all. Vulture was more irritated at the shots so in retaliation, he shot up a fiery aura.
Volcanic Vulture: MAGMA WALL!
Zero heard rumbling then the Volcano began to erupt. The platform Zero was on rose. Whilst on the platform, Zero and Vulture fought: Zero blocking and striking, whilst Vulture used his wings and beak to take attacks. But when they hit the top and into the outside: Zero dropped his Z Saber. The Saber hilt rolled off the platform and onto the side of the volcano. Zero tried pulling out his Z Buster but was too slow: Vulture rushed him down slammed his fist into his chest. He heard a sizzling sound from when those fists connected with him. He looked down and his armor was melting. Zero: Shit!
Zero throws his Boomerang Shield, only for it to miss.Volcanic Vulture: Ha! Weak!
Vulture grabs and throws Zero next to the edge with his mouth opened, ready to burn Zeros face off.
Volcanic Vulture: Any last requests?
Zero: Just a lesson: you should pay attention.
Vulture was confused, then Zero in a burst of speed, Zero kicks Vulture into the air and the Boomerang Shield comes back and cuts him in two. Before Vultures body fell down, Zero quickly tapped his head and grabbed weapon data. Vultures body continued to fall and it hit the other side of the volcano.Zero learned Pyro Strike: Zero can do a dash attack to which envelopes him in flames. This can be executed on the ground and in the air.Zero dropped down to collect his Z saber. He saw something in the distance: it was a Reploid but he was red and had horns. Before he can get a better look, the Reploid dashed away to the other side of the volcano.
Zero: Hey Alia, this is Zero. The plant is secured. You can send in Engineers to repair anything to which the Maverick destroyed. Also send in Storm Eagle and Chill Penguin to cool the place off while you're at it.
Alia: Copy.
Zero teleports back to base and walks to the repair shop where Ciel and Cerveau are at.
Zero: Hey Ciel.
Ciel: Oh Zero: What a surprise. Let me guess, armor repairs?
Zero: Mhm.
Ciel: Alright, give me some time.
Cerveau: Allow me to inspect and tune up your weapons whilst your under repairs.
Zero hands Cerveau his weapons. Whilst Zero was under repairs, Ciels computer in her room got a message."Ms Ciel, I have secured the computer banks and downloading data."-F. Omega returns from his mission, with Alouette waiting.
Alouette: Mr Omega!
Alouette runs to Omega, to which Omega kneels on one knee.
Alouette: Mr Omega, how was the mission?
Omega: Heh, boring as usual.
Alouette: Can you please tell me everything about the mission?
Alouette began to hop up and down. Omega smirked.
Omega: Alright, I shall.
Omega and Alouette walked to the cafeteria where Omega can share his story with her.
