Zero: Ack
Zero spits up blood. He is covered in battle damage and is missing an eye, exposing his electronic eye. He is then kicked to the ground. A foot is standing over him. X had his foot on his chest, with a saber raised.
Zero: X? X?
Before X could lay the killing blow, Zero awoke from his dream from the PA system crackling, calling for him to come into the command center. Zero exited his recharge pod and rubbed his head.
Zero: Another one of those dreams.
Zero rushed towards the command center to where Alia is briefing Axl and Omega.
Zero: Sorry I'm late, what's the mission?
Alia: This mission is to locate a Maverick who seems to be attempting to poison the river at these coordinates.
Zero: Alright, let's get going before Maverick poisons that river.
Omega, Zero and Axl teleport to the heavily forested location.
The three begin to go into the forest.
Purple Empress tends to a flower garden: she is waiting for her challengers. While she is watering her garden, she thinks. She thinks not on the coming hunters, but on her plan.
Purple Empress: They are quite stupid. They do not know what our plans are. Heh, even if I do fall, they will have to deal with the rest of us and more importantly: Poppy.
She grips the water pot, crushing the handle. She moves her hand and forcefully opens her right hand up.
Purple Empress: Joints locking up again. If it isn't the Hunters doing me in, then it will be me and this trash body.
Empress goes on her knees and watches her flowers flow in the breeze. She closes her eyes, trying to imitate breathing.
Purple Empress: I must be calm to win, one false move and I'll be-
She sighs
Purple Empress: Empress, cut that nihilistic thinking. It'll be fine.
Omega goes for a sword uppercut, cutting down a Mechaniloid wasp nest, all the while Axl is shooting down hornets. Omega looks at Zero who is taking care of some Mech Pilots.
Omega: Hey Zero, got a second?
Zero cuts the last of the mech pilots in half.
Zero: What is Omega?
Omega: Do you hate me?
Zero is shocked at Omega's question. Before he can answer, Axl pulls out a flamethrower and begins to burn down the forest.
Zero: Axl!
Axl: What? I'm tired of these Mavericks hiding in the trees.
Axl's fire spreads, burning a path towards where the Maverick is.
Zero: ergh... Now Omega, your question?
The trio began to dash, taking out any stragglers from Axl's fire attack.
Omega: Zero, I've been getting a feeling that you hate me for no reason, why is that?
Zero whips a line of Mets with his chain rod. Omega seems a bit annoyed that Zero is ignoring him. So he throws a Met at Zero. Zero, quick with the saber, cuts the Met apart.
Zero: What the heck Omega?!
Omega: Aren't you gonna answer my question? Do you hate me?
Zero: ... Yes.
