Echo and X arrived at the Colosseum at night time. Echo saw the lights of Rome and was amazed at the brightness.
X: Echo, we can go sightseeing at the beautiful lights in a moment, now, we need to take out the Maverick.
Echo nodded and the two ran towards the coliseum. There awaited Armor Piercing Shrimp.
Armor Piercing Shrimp: I was awaiting Zero to fight me, but you will do just fine, X.
X: Armor Piercer, why do you help the Mavericks?
Armor Piercing Shrimp: Being a Maverick means I can fight the greatest.
X: Fighting? Is that it? Is that what you want to do with the rest of your life?
Armor Piercing Shrimp: If you're suggesting a peaceful life, then you're wrong. I want to be in honorable combat. I live and die by the blade X.
X took a deep breath and looked at him
X: Then at least stop pestering the city.
Armor Piercing Shrimp clicked his claws.
Armor Piercing Shrimp: Then how's about you make me.
X: Rggh... Fine, have it your way.
X pulled out his saber and ran at AP. He swung it down, only for the Shrimp to catch it. Shrimps claws became orange and he was about to throw X away, but X let go of his saber, throwing his saber feet away from him. X pulled out his X buster and fired a point blank charge shot into AP. AP went flying away, but it left little to no damage. Echo saw X's saber and was about to grab it, but something dropped down in front of him. It was a dark silver figure with a cloak over its head: it looked like a man with red eyes, a minigun on his shoulder and two large cannons on his arms. X who was firing level one buster shots to which were harmlessly dinking off an approaching AP saw this figure. It took him a second to realize who that was.
X: Echo! Get away thats-
Vile fired his right short arm cannon, sending Echo away heavily damaged and on the brink of death. X pointed his buster at Vile and fired a charge shot to which he harmlessly backhanded away. Shrimp stopped the battle and actually assisted X by grabbing Vile.
Armor Piercing Shrimp: You filthy man! You dare interrupt my duel?!
Vile laughed
Vile: I am not a man, I AM A MONSTER!
Viles' rotary cannon whirled and vomited bullets into AP. AP went back with holes in his armor. X grabbed his saber and was going to impale Vile. Vile grabbed the saber, burning his hand.
X: You have no soul!
Vile: That is why I have no fear, X.
Vile headbutted X away, tossing his saber away.
Vile: Sending me to hell X won't stop me. I could finish you off here, but making you suffer is much better.
Bit teleported in and grabbed a dying Echo. Vile flipped X off as he and Bit teleported away. X screamed in anger as he failed to protect Echo.
Armor Piercing Shrimp: Rggh.. X, take my powers.
X got up and saw AP on his back, also dying.
Armor Piercing Shrimp: He is no man anymore X. He's a monster: You need to deal with him as a monster and slay him. Take my powers.
X: B-But why? I tried to-
AP shushed X
Armor Piercing Shrimp: You would have defeated me in your own way. But you would've given me honor for I would've lost to you, X, a man: Not a monster posing as one.
