X was having his armor repaired as Alia was running the plan with all the hunters.
Alia: We have limited time in dealing with this machine Gate has created. We don't know its capabilities, but by sheer size it can cause 100% extinction to everyone.
Storm Eagle: I'll get all air squadrons up and running.
Flame Mammoth: I'll have shock troops prepare to enter the machine.
Volt Kraken: While I'll be there physically to give off as much support.
Axl: So I'm guessing we can't use a giant laser to shoot it out of the sky, or have Zero pilot a shuttle into it?
Alia: I admire that you're trying to lighten the mood, but if we had a silver bullet for this catastrophe, I would've used it by now.
Axl nodded as he and the rest of the Hunters geared up to fight: before Axl left, he found some sort of blade the Hunters picked up in Egypt: the file said it had no practical use but Axl took it just in case his guns failed. As the hunters left, Ciel came up behind her and told her about X's new armor.
Ciel: I've been analyzing the armor schematics Dr Light gave Echo and, well, it's been slow.
Alia: How can I assist?
Ciel and Alia ran to one of X's armor capsules.
Ciel: All I need is a platform to project the armor parts and-
A huge earthquake came and knocked power out for the entire complex. Around the world, tremors were happening as the force of Ouroboros was projecting itself. Hunters began launching themselves towards Ouroboros as an attempt to destroy it. X with his Composite Power armor flew alongside Axl and Zero who were driving their ride bikes. X wanted to make conversation with Zero, but Harpuia butted in.
Sage Harpuia: I just wanted to say this Zero: if you do anything out of line and say... harm my master, I won't be afraid to skewer you like a shish kebab.
X: Sage calm down, we're on the same side.
Sage Harpuia: Apologizes for my impotence, but why are you just forgiving Zero for what he did to you?
X shrugged
X: He's a friend. Plus he didn't know what Redips did or if I was lying so...
Zero: Hey let's keep the chatter to a minimum. We'll have more time to catch up X.
X smirked
X:Not gonna lie, but the eyepatch suits you.
Zero smiled faintly, with Axl chiming in.
Axl: So when is Cinnamon, Massimo and Marino supposed to show up? Been trying to communicate our status.
Zero: Wait... Try to contact Maverick Hunter HQ.
Axl did so, but all he got was static
Axl: No good.
Zero: That thing might be blocking out our channels.
Zero pointed above as Ouroboros seemed to get closer. The team stopped above the ocean and began a plan.
X: Sage, me and Zero will go up first while you pick up the rest.
X grabbed Zeros hand and they flew up with a sonic boom. Harpuia saw the huge group he had to carry: Fefnir, Leviathan, Axl, Phantom and Marty. He was about to groan, but Axl got an idea.
Axl: Give me your hand Harpuia.
Harpuia compiled and Axl scanned his DNA. He instantly transformed into a duplicate of Harpuia.
