TAPS began to play as soldiers got up and prepared to do the day's tasks. Fenrir got up and began to do daily maintenance on the base: freezing and marking cracks for repairs.
Fenrir: Another day, another gear to pop.
Whilst Fenrir was doing his job, Thundervolt Spino was up in the generator room, checking on the electric quota.
Thundervolt Spino: Hmm, we're down by a thousand gigawatts this month. Project Zeus must be draining power like crazy. No matter, I'll just have to ask the Director about the power issues. At this rate, we'll have rolling blackouts.
Spinos attention was shot away from the possible blackout issue to a Repliforce Engineer nearly falling into the electric channels. Spino caught the Engineer by the collar.
Thundervolt Spino: There's been enough incidents in this place, Valkyrie doesn't need to clean up more.
Jet Stingray and Jellyroid were busy checking damages on the Storm Owl ship. Storm Owl flew in, squawking like crazy.
Storm Owl: Is my ship repaired yet?
Jet Stingray: Repairs take time Storm!
Mauve the Jellyroid: Yeah! And my nonexistent back is killing me for going in between the cracks you left.
Storm Owl: It wasn't my fault! Some bullhead Reploid and someone who is impersonating as X attacked me!
Heaving can be heard from the hull, Jellyroid flew up thanks to her projector on her head she grabbed the two hulls, making sure they don't pull apart. On cue, Jet pushed the other part with one another. Repliforce Engineers welded the broken bit together.
Jet Stingray: Don't overwork yourself Mauve. You're still a prototype.
Jellyroid landed and felt the projector yank her back to a physical body.
Mauve the Jellyroid: I know Jet.
Storm Owl sighed
Storm Owl : Just tell me when the repairs are done? I hate flying around in a cramped Frigate.
Jet Stingray: We'll get it done soon, I promise.
Storm Owl left as he needed to direct aid in directing air traffic. Jellyroid huffed as she continued to check on cracks. Jet Stingray got his Ground Hunters bolting certain objects down and the Engineers weld.
Dragoon and Slash Beast sparred in the training area, while also making small talk.
Magma Dragoon: How did your route go?
Dragoon fired a Hadoken at Slash Beast. He jumped and dodged.
Slash Beast: Without the Hunters, getting supplies to and fro from bases is easy. But...
Slash Beast sliced at Dragoon who dashed to the left of him.
Magma Dragoon: But what?
Slash Beast: We're still getting attacked by other opponents. Web Spider derailed another train. Took all the supplies and ran back into the jungles.
Magma Dragoon fired 3 more Hadokens towards Slash Beast: He simply slid underneath the attacks.
Magma Dragoon: You didn't chase him?
Slash Beast: How could I? That Jungle is too thick for my simple defense force to break through. So we just let them get away. Lost too many good men.
Slash Beast bicycle kicked Dragoon, only for him to rebound off the wall and onto the floor.
Magma Dragoon: I can always accompany you whenever you make trips. I'm not busy and-
Slash Beast shuts him down by firing his Twin Slasher at him. Dragoon blocked the attack with a simple hand wave of fire.
