As the Hunters moved in the forest, Omega was trying to take care of sleepy Baby Elves.
Crea: Omega!! When are we gonna be there with our mom???
Prea: Yeah... I'm tired...
Omega: Then go to sleep. I'll wake you once we get there.
Marino: Hey can you pipe it down, this is meant to be a stealthy movement through the forests.
Omega nodded as the Cyber Elves went to sleep on his shoulder. Zero looked up and saw Yggdrasil polluting the sky with its size.
Zero: Rggh..
Boomer Kuwanger was jumping from tree to tree, trying to see what's ahead of them. He looked up and saw the Outcast fleet in the air. He jumped down and met with Elpizo.
Boomer Kuwanger: Lieutenant Elpizo. The Outcast fleet is in range of Yggdrasil.
Elpizo: Damn. We can't show ourselves just yet. But if they land and get into range of Yggdrasil: It's over. We won't even have the opportunity to counter attack. EVERYONE, DOUBLE TIME IT!
Elpizo began to dash towards Yggdrasil faster. Zero and Axl followed suit with the rest of the team jumping on APC's and Armored Cars to go faster.
X was pondering about Doglas's death. How he died was a tragedy: 5 years ago, he tried telling him the truth about Redips, but was beheaded in front of him by Spider. Spider escaped before he could do anything about it. X was lost in that thought before Echo tapped him on his shoulder.
X: Hmm? Yeah Echo?
Echo held his hand out to him.
Echo: Take your armors, they're yours.
X nodded his head no
X: They're yours now.
Echo: But... Light-
X interrupted him.
X: They were mine, as Light passed it down to me. But now, I pass it down to you, Echo.
Phantom reappeared, turning off his invisibility.
Hidden Phantom: Hunters on our left flank, about 2 clicks.
X: How fast were they going?
Hidden Phantom: cars were going fast: about 45 km h.
X: Try to destroy some of them. I want them to stop in their tracks.
Phantom nodded and went invisible again. He rushed back to where the Hunter strike team was. X got out some sticky bombs and began placing them on the back of the group. In 3 seconds, loud explosions rang across the forest. Hunters stopped and saw the Self Propelled guns they brought were destroyed. Phantom brought his blade, about to cut down one of the Hunters, but was stopped when Marino kicked at him. Phantom fell back, but caught one of the branches.
Hidden Phantom: You saw through my invisibility?
Marino: Quite obvious with the shimmering in the branches.
Hidden Phantom: Hmph, a pity you won't be able to win this fight.
Phantom threw shurikens at Marino, only for it to be countered with her kunais. Phantom leapt in the air, continuing to throw shurikens at Marino. Marino dodged and weaved through the attacks, to meet Phantom face to face. She then elbows him across his face, knocking him back in the air. This made Phantom react by releasing a rope dart from his gauntlet: stabbing Marino and pulling her down with him. Phantom electrified the rope dart, trying to cause as much damage as possible, this was stopped when Marino ripped the rope dart out of her. Phantom landed on his feet, waiting for Marino to drop down. Marino did drop down, albeit on a branch.
