Hogwarts had never seen such an amazing Quidditch game. Although team one was obviously the most qualified one, team two didn’t make things easier. Draco and Harry let themselves go back to their impossible competitive state from their schooldays, Ginny, Angelina and Alicia showed Hope Springs what being a chaser was about and Ron ended up being a more than alright beater with George. Cormac was knocked off his broom within minutes by a well-hit bludger by Ron (making Hermione roll her eyes from the stands). But the important thing was that the team of former Gryffindors won when Harry overcame Draco once again, taking the snitch, literally, from under his nose, at the same time that Ginny scored her 15th goal. It was a remarkable afternoon, indeed: one that Teddy surely would never forget!

However, all the peace and quiet that a day in Hogwarts had provided for the Head Auror and the whole squad was gone before Harry could say good morning or Bernard could tell the news of his engagement with Heather. A whole new organization of Dark wizards stroke Hogsmeade the very next day to the Anniversary which had been the kids' last trip to the village. Most of the students from third through seventh years were enjoying a bit of rest from their books, when an attack played out right after lunch time. Luckily, Professor Longbottom had been on site, as he was going to meet Hannah and the baby in the Three Broomsticks, and immediately got a hold of Harry and the other Aurors. Thankfully, there were no casualties, just a few wounded students and a burn on Colby's arm.

With a new threat overshadowing their long-lasted peace ever since the X.O. threat, a full investigation started being planned out on the very Sunday after the incident and Harry had to break the news to Ginny that he would have to leave for a mission. This made Mrs. Potter completely broken, despite her understanding and support of her husband's job. Seamus was the one selected to be their man in base of operations since Susan, his partner and wife, was still on maternity leave because of John's birth just the month prior. Harry could never thank George enough for their  cellphones which were still completely safe to use, since only the family had access and knowledge of the line and service yet. George and Lee were on their final stages of testing for the whole British Wizarding community.

Heather and Ginny stuck together as they had to quickly say goodbye to their loved one, staying behind once again, with the worry about their safety. Teddy and Tobias once again got through it together, helping out their mothers the best way they could. Teddy, together with the whole family, tried his best to help Ginny with the kids, as she had yet a job to keep and three small children to care. On the other hand, Tobias tried his best to be there for his mother. After his father's death, his godfather was able to bring her smile and good mood back and neither Tobias nor Heather would be able to stand another lost like that.

Ginny, as the maid of honor for Luna's wedding, started to spend all her possible free time that she wasn't at work or taking care of the kids, helping out on the organization of the event. Although Hermione (the second maid of honor) and Luna insisted she didn't need to bother, as she had so much on her plate, the redhead demanded she would help, so to take her mind away from Harry's long absence.

Teddy remembered way too well the last time his godfather went away to a mission and somehow managed to arrive on the same day of James's birth. Lily barely noticed the absence of her dad and godfather, but James and Albus got upset before the first week had ended. Vicky suggested to help the older babies (Dom, James, Fred, Brian) to get better at their Quidditch skills so to get James's head out of the fact his father wasn't there.

But, everyone gasped of both surprise and relief when both Harry and Ben not to speak of the rest of the team assigned (like Moore, Hall, Hewes and Colby) arrived safe and sound still in time for Dom's fifth birthday party in the start of July. Harry had several cuts and bruises that reminded Ginny way too much of herself after the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, but other than that, Ginny had her husband back at her arms in one piece. And Harry was happy to be in time for Luna's wedding in mid-August.
