Ginny’s belly was growing by the week and she was enjoying it quite a bit. She kept nagging Harry how the weather was getting colder and she had to walk around with loads of clothes that didn’t flatter her baby bump.

With no job to worry about, she had filled her days with finishing the house and taking care of Teddy to help out a very sick Mrs. Tonks. But even with the house work, she still had quite a bit of free time. She used it to visit old friends she missed. One day she took Teddy to visit Hogwarts while she met with Neville Longbottom, who a few years back had been hired as the new Herbology teacher in the place of Professor Sprout. She spent some days with George at his shop or babysitting little Victoire and baby Dom to give Fleur a little break or just hanging out with Luna. She had lunch with the Golden Trio at the Ministry and got to meet all their co-workers, including Harry’s soon to retire boss.

On November’s last wednesday, Ginny was supposed to go out to dinner with Ron while Harry would go to the movies with Hermione. They found it to be the perfect timing to ask them to be their child’s godparents. So when the day came, Ginny was waiting at the Ministry entry for her brother to come out. When she looked out, she saw him coming with Hermione on one side and Harry on the other.

“Hey, honey!” Harry greeted her with a soft kiss on the lips and another on her belly. Ron grinned at his best mate. He could already see the over-protected parent Harry’d become.

Ron cleared his throat and announced “I believe that’s my date tonight, Potter.”

“Yeah, I guess so.” he turned to Hermione and offered his arm to her where she gladly placed her own. “Take care of them, Ron. I’ll see you later, Gin!” Harry said goodbye and as Hermione gave a quick kiss goodbye to her husband, they spun on the spot and disapparated.

“So I guess is just you and me, right bro?” Ginny took his brother arm and they walked down together. They had chose a little restaurant a couple of blocks away from the Ministry so they would just walk there. Although it had turned colder, it was a very pleasant evening to walk around. “I think we never dined together by ourselves before.”

Ron thought about it before nodding. “Yeah, normally our quality time together are spent playing Quidditch back at the Burrow. But I guess that is a bit out of question for a while, isn’t it?” He was looking down at his baby sister’s belly.

Ginny was wearing a really warm sweater and jeans and her Gryffindor scarf with matching gloves. Since she didn’t had any other jackets or robes, her baby bump was very visible which made her grin when she saw it at the mirror before leaving the house. They talked all the way to the restaurant. Ron was excited about the promotion he also got at the Auror Office for Head of Mission Planning. Ginny considered how the reason he was so excited about it was because with his new post and Harry’s, they would still be able to be partners. Both her boys had mention that several times over the last weeks.

They arrived at the little place at a reserved corner, asked for a table for two and were leaded to their table. Ginny was surprised to see her brother acting like such a gentleman. She could see in his blue eyes he wasn’t the same immature teenage boy he once was. Marriage really changes everything. But it didn’t change this, Ginny thought to herself while Ron ordered for them.

“And how’s pregnancy treating you, Gin?”

“Good, I guess. For now, the worst part was the morning sickness in the beginning. But Harry and Teddy have pointed out my sudden mood changes.” Ginny answered.

“Teddy?” Ron was entertained by that bit of information.

“Yeah, poor thing. The other day we were at Diagon Alley and we ran into Dean Thomas, you remember him?” As Ron awkwardly nodded she continued. “Well, I was talking to him about my pregnancy and Teddy said it was his new sister inside and I yelled at him saying it would be a brother, not a sister.” Ginny chocked when she realized that bit of information shouldn’t have been out just yet. “Anyways, I later apologized to him and bought him a chocolate frog to compensate.” she laughed as she remember how she had compensated Harry a few days later when she had been all crazy on him.
