Cotton candy skies are not for people like us, we're born to carry the world on our shoulders. Don't be afraid my dear, if I tied someone's heart up your sleeve,  because we happen every once a while, we are not bulletproof.

Those who walk everyday with a vacant house and call it a heart are the ones who see home in two eyes and a heartbeat rather than four walls and a roof. The roof is the starry sky, a floating disguised galaxy that drives every perilous soul insane. The walls are built off words heard from here and there, one word can create an oath and another word could take someone's life, every word of love got stamped into the wall, hitting close to home. One whisper, one promise; I'd die for you. Words trailed down their chins like sugar and a vanilla, pure and effortless.

Rafe ran towards Dune feeling accomplished, he wrapped his arms around her, picked her up and twirled her around. Putting her down he asked her to open her hands, he had the leather journal in one hand and Kraze's heart in the second, as promised. Call me crazy, or delusional, but I can't get you out of my head and it makes sink into disaster. The sweetest part of disaster is watching you run toward me, skin on skin making the world fall on its knees, crawl towards us to  separate what we have. No one will have what we have, we sway between heaven and disaster, one's heart accompany us all the way to the unknown.

"I can't believe you did that," screeched Dune, fidgeting with the monster's heart like a stone. She looked at the Pogues, eyes wide, she smiled at them with blood in between her teeth. She leaned over Rafe and kissed the blood on his neck, just a quick peck, there's no time for halts. This time, they left the Twinkie behind, keeping the enemies closer to them. Of course they were going to steal Kraze's Jeep, for his heart was not enough, real monsters shoot for the full prize, never half of it.

"That's just the beginning my love, the last stop is where we're going to leave these pricks and then we're off to the unknown. Every distraction lasts a minute in our world, we'll sleep on strangers beds and have them frame a piece of the bedsheets. We'll scare each other to death then safety pin our hearts back together like nothing happened. We'll run until our legs can't take it no more and the devil gives us our wings back. Two wrongs can come up with something right after all."

"They'll say we're just some broken young souls who sought fun in breaking the law, a story which people read with their eyes shinning brighter than a million stars. I don't want any star to explode after us, I feel like I could do anything. I want to walk over burning charcoal, pretend that I never started a fire purposely, taste your lips without having to kiss you. You could chug from a bottle of water and I would turn into a desert eaten by fatal drought, begging for more water. You are, my friend, a hazy daydream. You made me hate everything about the people I once loved, to save that love just for you." said Dune, emphasizing on the last part with her eyes focused on JJ. He had nothing to say, he'd seen enough, heard enough. He could his heart being eaten by the long lost princes and princesses, splitting it in pieces.

Dune got bored eventually, she took the tape off their mouths, a foggy cloud emerged above their heads, Air was priceless, the last element to be romanticized. Fire has been the ruler of the elements for years, when it comes to the air we breathe, the human kind recognize its worth at the end. The end of everything takes a step back because of that long inhale. She looked at Rafe, nodding her head, it's time.

Turning around, she brought her face closer to JJ. "I know you've smelled a lot of blood today, I hope when you encounter monsters you recognize them by this exact smell."

JJ chuckled, exhaustion worn his face. He folded his heart into a piece of paper, bit on his lip until he could taste his bones for words were bitter, sour, fiery. "I can only recognize one scent, the smell of someone who sold herself for a book of lies. If I ever come across that scent, you'll be the first one to cross my mind."

Smiling at the surfing prince one last time, she gave Rafe another nod. "Bon Voyage, JJ and the little dwarfs."

"Oh so New York teaches you Spanish now, Unela?" screamed JJ after modern day Bonnie and Clyde took off to the unknown. She chuckled under her breath, freedom's invaluable as air, no one could have both on a silver platter. Their voices followed them until they reached their destination; she could hear Pope telling JJ that Bon Voyage is French instead of Spanish, she could Sarah's screams and curses, shooting mouthful bullets at her brother precisely.

They parked the Jeep on the side of the road. The Unknown's as real as they imagined. A minuscule cottage that lies in the impossible, between a forest and the sea. The cottage looked confiscated, confined, collared with mold. There's enough space for the both of them and the people they plan to twist their souls around fingers, it wouldn't hurt to reside in a place like this for an extended stay. Freckled walls, and bruised roof, just like the portrait. One massive whole in the sky for the moon to keep an eye on them. No broken windows, but they'd definitely break one just to see the world in pieces, a metaphor. The space around the cottage was showered in vividness, giving a presentable sighting to the cottage, like a ribbon plastered on top of a present and no wrapping paper. They looked at each other in disbelief, stood for a moment to look at the sea. Dune there Kraze's heart in the key, staining it already, marking her territory. She doubted whether to throw the journal or not, her fingers trembled, she needed to scrub her skin off death.

"Don't throw it, I want you to read it to me under the moonlight. I'm sure there's a lot of wood to light out a fire. There's nothing to be afraid of anymore."

"I'm not afraid of what's yet to come, I fear how would we react to it."
