Chapter 36

Grant's POV.

"Sir may I ask a favour?" I ask fidgeting my fingers. He was the closest thing to Angelica as a father, of course I have to make a good impression.

"Spill it out son" Son? I was already treated like family.

"Could we keep this from Angelica?" I ask.

He looks at me confused, "Why? Wouldn't this be great news for her?"

"Yes sir, I just wanted to surprise her until everything is ready. She'll be a great luna" I say in awe, Angelica was truly luna worthy she was the kindest and one of the strongest because of what she has been through.

"Smart boy, whatever makes her happy then I trust you." he grins.

I hope one day he will give me full responsibility and with trusting me with his pack is a good start.

"Now we'll discuss this later, but I bet you right now she's behind that door. She's too curious" I raise my eyebrows at him before looking at the door.

"You can come in now" he calls out.

"Shit we've been caught, hide!" I hear muffled voice outside.

I smile and make my way to the door and open it, I hear mumbles like:

'Why did you fall on me'

'It's because fatso fell on me first'

'I'm not fat!'

'sure....' two people said in sync.

"Well well well" I tsk.

I stare at the image before me, Luke, Val and Angelica piled on top of eachother, struggling to get up.

"BUSTED!" I hear alpha James holler in the background.

My beautiful mate on the bottom of the pile looks up to me with a pleading look in her eyes and a sheepish smile.

"Help me up?" she stretches her arms for me to grab.

I shake my head and grin, I use my strength to pull her up leaving Luke and Val still piled up.

"I can breathe!" she wheezes.

I chuckle before pulling her into a hug. "You care to tell me why you were spying on us?"

"It was Val!"

"It was Luke!"

"It was Angelica!"

They all point, I roll my eyes and narrow my eyes at all their sheepish grins.

"It was Val" Alpha James walks up to us.

"Knowing these two," he gestures to both the girls "Val suggested the plan, Angelica disagreed then her curiousity took over and she came along, but for Luke I'm not so sure."

I look at Luke and give him a sympathetic look "They forced you didn't they?"

They all nod.

"But you would've come along anyways since your nosy too" I accuse.

They all slump defeated and I grin in victory.

"Danm it, we need to seperate these two" Angel mumbles but with any werewolf hearing we all heard it.

"Heard you."

She blushes red, turning away from my gaze.

"Well! I'll best be leaving. We'll finish this later Alpha Grant and as for you three..." they all cringe awaiting their punishment "try harder next time" he winks before exiting.

"Care to tell me why your eavesdropping? " I question.

They all divert their eyesight and I couldn't help but grin at their discomfort.

Val and Luke look to Angelica for an explanation a slowly accusing her.

She gasps in disbelief and glares at them both "We wanted to know what you were talking to uncle James about, I was hoping it wasn't anything embarassing. Luke wanted to know why he wasn't invited since he's beta" she finishes.

"Snitch" Val grumbles.

Angel once again gasps "You bailed on me!"

"No we didn't"

"Liar!"

"Nuh huh"

"Yuh huh"

"Nuh-"

"Enough! I demand, there childish debate was getting us nowhere. "Angelica go outside and think about what you've done."

"But how come they get to stay!" She points.

"Angelica." I sent her a pointed look and she huffs before stomping away.

Now that the door was closed, I got to tell Luke and Val what I got planned.

"Alpha James wants us to join his pack and take the roll of alpha" I inform.

I was really excited, the honour of ruling an important pack such as the Blue Moon pack but ruling it with my one and truly mate, Angelica.

She is my everything and she is everything I could ask for.
