Chapter 61

Waking up, it felt like home.
Here with the people I love, sticking together whatever the challenge. I may have lost some but I have the true friends nearby who love me for me and not to find secrets or hidden treasures.

And here I am, putting them at danger because of this war. One that is the inevitable and one that I must lead.

The Moon Goddess visited me in my dreams directing me on future plans.

I stared at Grant's face, he slept peacefully and it looked like he needed it. I missed him, I missed this...

Fuck it, I'm just repeating myself to pass time.

I peck at his lips, he stirs in his sleep before he opens his beautiful brown eyes.

His arms tighten around me and he nuzzles his face in my neck "Morning".

"Morning" I smile. A genuine smile.

"Let's spend the day together, no interruptions just us" it would be nice wouldn't it? Me and my mate... Could I pause everything just for this day?

Surely we deserve it.

"Okay." I get up after cuddling for a little bit and head straight for the shower the Moon Goddess knows how much I missed the feeling of cleanliness. The feeling of water rushes down my body. Yup I definitely missed this.

The pack house was empty, I didn't want to go anywhere. Even if I wasn't used to this place it was a part of my life I missed, the fun, the love, the friendship is all here. Opening the doors, quickly scanning for Grant I sigh again, you know it's not fair I was it for hide and seek.

Walking back to where I started I sighed again. Where was that idiot?

Stepping into a random room one last time I eventually gave up. "Grant you win!" I shout in defeat.

"Gotcha!" Arms wrap around me tightly. I jumped and flinched at first, where the fudge did he come from?

We did random things cook, eat, cuddle and watch movies but mostly we bonded, we left all the problems behind as if it never happened.

"You know, if we were normal just plain old werewolf's our lives would be simple. We'd get married soon, live here in the pack house with rest of our family (the pack) and then later on we'd have children and grow old loving them" I sigh, we watch the sunset. It wasn't like that was it though?

"Why can't we have that then? I mean who's stopping us? We were paired for a purpose and The Moon Goddess knows you deserve that, we deserve that"

"Grant, we have a war on our hands" He holds my hands tightly as he looks me in the eye. I see he's scared too but he's holding on for me.

"You know we'll get through it together, I've got that future goal in my mind to motivate me and I won't stop until I reach it"

He's an idiot. Even he's got me crying at those words, I say nothing as I probably can't form words anyways.

"And you won't give up, so as we're here together right now, I want you to make me a promise" he pulls me up so we're standing.

"No matter what, I want you to keep fighting with me. Live your life with me because to be honest I'd probably die without you. Angelica Marie Liveth I love you so much that even if I died right now with you, I'd die a happy man."

"Heck I'd even climb back from hell just to see you"

"You're being sappy now Mr Big Bad Alpha" I say mockingly.

"Hey, a guys gotta try right?" He laughs.

I grin then look at his loving eyes "I promise, because even if you are the corniest dumbass. I couldn't live without that stick up my ass"

"Wow... Love you too?"

His face turns towards me nervously and kneels down holding a small black box out.

Gosh, Gosh, Gosh....

Is this what I think it is?

Nope. Maybe he just wants to show me a rock he found or something... And he just casually fell on one knee.

"Angelica Marie Liveth... Will you marry me?" I stood their like a fish out of water, I couldn't say anything.

Nope, Nothing, Nada.

He starts to look nervous and scratches the back of his neck "Well you know, not now of course, I mean... Who in their right mind would get married during a war? I mean its crazy... Then again we are crazy... And think about..."

"Yes."

... Silence...

...more silence...

...the awkwardness settles in...

He froze. Like literally.

Then his world crashes back down again "Hold up. Come again?"

"I said yes"

"Really? Like Y E S?"

"Yes"

"Wait say it one more time, I'm not sure I heard right"

"Oh for goodness sake Grant do you want me to say no?!"

"No"

"I SAID YES!"

He places the ring on me immediately before tackling me into a hug and kiss.

A bit rushed I know. Sorry for no update, I didn't really know how to write this chapter. I re-wrote it several times and still can't get it right oops.

Anyways for clearing confusion yes this chapter was posted but it wasn't finished so I unpublished it.
