Chapter 25: Climbing Wall

School is finished and Grant, Luke and Andrew have football practice so I decided to spend my time doing an after school club this time Val joined me.

I wore a tank top this time. And a pair of leggings.

I was surprised until I found out the true reason she wanted to join me. She wasn't even planning to do sports she was just faking it so she could watch Luke.

"What do you want to do?" I ask Val who is clearly spacing out, staring at Luke.

She snaps out of her gaze. "What do you want to do?" she replies clearly not knowing what I ment.

"Oh you know... we can do gymnastics which means we are gonna be inside" I tease.

She frowns at me clearly knowing what I'm doing, I put my hands in surrender "Fine fine! We can go on the new rock climbing thing" I said not really knowing what the apparatus was called.

"Yes! If it means I get a better view of the field then Yes!!!!!" she squeals racing over to the station.

I roll my eyes and grin at my stalker of a friend then soon follow after her.

Coach Mack is here since she has to supervise us so she straps us in our safety harness' and me and Val glance at each-other before going on a frenzy on who can reach the top first.

This rock climbing apparatus is really tall, I mean it's larger than normal one since this is a werewolf school.

We got halfway through in 30 minutes and it is still a long way up.

"Hey Angelica?"

"Yeah?"

"I give up this view is good enough, you go ahead since I know you want to finish it... Ooooooh! The boys are headed over here!" She squeals rushing back down.

Its like what? the 3rd time I've rolled my eyes at her? I look down to see all three boys walking over to check up on us.

I continue my climbing and I feel stares at me, I turn and stick my tongues at all of them. Coach Mack said she was going to get a cup of coffee so the boys were in charge of supervising us- me since Val is already on the ground.

"Keep going!" Grant cheered while Andrew was clapping.

I was so close to the top when.... Behind me something exploded.

I turned around and saw something set on fire, immediately all the boys rush over, trying to figure out what caused it, Val was calling help on her phone. The pack members and the others from the football team rush over and help.

Everyone seemed to forget about me, but I was far from the fire and I was high up, yet I wasn't completely safe.

I turn my eyes back to face the wall so I could get of the frame and make it safely to the top. I could sit on the ledge until it was safe to go down.

As I almost made it a pair of blue eyes met my own eyes, memories flashed before me.

I was screaming, I was five.

"Noooooo!" I screached, trying to get out of his grip, a betrayer, he helped kill my mother and father.

"Please! Don't harm her" My mom begged falling down to her knees as my father tried to soothe and fight of the rest. They were out numbered.

I was shoved into a car... Everything went silent before the sound of a gun filled the air.

I saw my parents die before my eyes.

"Noooooo Mommy, Daddy WAKE UP!!!!!!!!" I cried reaching for them but it was no use.

The man who was holding me down, he's in front of me. Those same blue eyes.

"Remember me?" A dark dangerous voice asked.

My eyes widened at the realization, he's here.

He chuckled at my fear reaching down towards me, I stumble remembering where I am. I could get down I thought.

"Now before you think you can get down safely, think again" he said, reading my mind. Am I really that transparent?

I was choking out of fear, the words wouldn't come out.

He pulls out a pair of pliers cutting the rope to my harness, if I fall now I could die.

The only way was up or down, if I pick Up he'll catch me. If I pick Down I could die and if I do it slowly he'll catch me.

I have no choice.

I tremble in fear daring not to move, the fear was all over my body it was attacking it in full force, if I give him the chance to get me he'll bring me to his so called master and I'm dead.

He grabs my arm and tries to haul me over I dangle from the top refusing to obey his commands, I was pretty sure no one noticed because they were too busy with the fire.

"Now I can easily take you or you could get all your friends involved" his voice menicing.

"Over my dead body!" I spat, venom dripping in each word I said.

He growled at me and continued pulling me over, I can't shout the words were tangled in my throat. I was speechless.

A giant red button caught my attention, that's it! It'll make an alarm sound. I swang back and forth it was in my reach and I kicked it with all the force I could muster up.

Red lights flashed and the alarm went off, Yes!

His face grew dark, he was pissed now "You little piece of shit!".

"Angelica!" Grant screamed, I turned my face to see his eyes pitch black, his canines showing, thank goddess.

I was in relief but that was too soon, the man in front of me used all his strength to pull me over and he succeeded, I was in his full grasp.

But it was too late for him, there was no way out. Pack members were far but they were going to surround us and each way around there was no escape for this betrayer, the thing is though we're still many feet from the ground.

"We only have one shot make it count" Grant orders, first I'm confused to what he ment until I heard a gun go off, a tranquilliser gun.

To my bad luck, the dart misses only around a foot away from me, damn! The one shot failed to hit him.

I heard cursing in the background while my eyes were fixed on the dart, if I could only reach it...

"Back off! Or she's dead!" The rogue threatened, holding my neck high in the air making me gasp for air. I could feel myself going red then later i would be blue.

"Nooo!" I hear Val screech.

In the reflection of his eyes I can see them cautiously step back hands in the air, but all their eyes are dark, I was their future luna and I was friends with some of the pack members,

Growls erupted all over the place, his grip loosened on me for a moment and thats when I took the chance, I grabbed the dart and jabbed it in his leg making him howl in pain before pulling me by my hair creating me to stumble.

He snarls and bears his teeth at me before his eyes flutter closed, he began to drop, the dart is working but as his grip loosens the support he had on me faded quickly.

Time slowed down, everything was slient and all I could hear was my heartbeat and breathing, I look around to see people rushing towards me mouths moving and I scrunch my at my confusion, what were they saying?

I look up to the sky my hair waving everywhere.

I gasped and as soon as it left my mouth everything sped up.

I was falling and people were to far to catch my fall.
