You Can't Control Me Alpha [ON HOLD]

Chapter 40

I was waiting patiently by the door, my foot was tapping continuously.

I couldn't wait until Grant got home, its been a solid few weeks since he had to go on his alpha meetings.

I missed Val too, without her I could do everything peacefully and where was the fun in that?

"As my future luna... Can you please stop with the tapping" Luke says clearly agitated.

"Sorry" I mumble "I just can't wait for them to get home, its been too long since we've seen our mates"

"You've got that right" he agrees, his phone buzzes and he checks the message.

His face morphs into a huge grin.

"What?" I ask, awaiting the hopefully good news.

"They're here."

I didn't need anymore than that because I bolt to the door.

"Angelica!" I turn back to Luke still running to the door "Watch Out!" He shouts.

I look forward but it was already too late, I crash into another body successfully falling down.

I pick myself up to see the same to the other person, a smile spreads across my face.

"Valerie!" I scream pulling her into a hug "Oh my gosh I missed you so much!"

She lets out a chuckle "I missed you too, your mate is no fun"

"Your mate was a strict bodyguard, I didn't have any peace."

"And here I thought they would run into their mate's arms first" I heard a familiar voice tsk.

I turn my face to my handsome mate with his arms crossed over his chest, he opens them and I let go of Val.

"Come here boo-bear"

I ran into his arms without a second thought wrapping my arms around his neck sinking my face into his neck inhaling the intoxicating scent.

"Gosh I hate not being with you" I say "Do it again and I'll skin you alive so I can keep a part of you with me"

I pull away from him so I can look into his eyes which are full of amusement.

"What got you so violent?" He asks, "have you been playing violent games with Luke on the Xbox?" He playfully narrows his eyes.

I smile mischievously "maybe."

"Well it was his fault to be honest, I got really bored then he said we could play games on the xbox. You were in a meeting so I couldn't cal-" I was shut up with a kiss.

The kiss was rough and fast, it was a desperate and needed kiss.

After we pull away I glare at him "What have I told you about shutting me up with kisses?" I put my hands on my hips.

"Don't act like you don't like it" he says proudly, I was holding in a smile because if I let it go then that means defeat.

" I don't " I lie.

"Oh please, you have that challenging look in your eyes"

"Believe what you want but if you think that a kiss can get me to shut-" his lips connected with mine again.

This time I push him away "Grant! Be serious!"

"I needed that kiss as much as you did and before you start yapping again... RACE YOU!"

He dashes towards the stairs.

"Coward!" I shake my head side to side, smiling at the idiot.

I turn to see a note on the counter.

To Angelica,
Me and Luke left while you and Grant were making out. Didn't want to bother you.

Ps. Have fun ;)

Pps. Luke says he wants Luke jr and I want Valerie jr.

Those ladies and gentlemen are the idiots around me.

"Wheres my bag!"

"Its on your back!"

"Wheres my keys"

"In the key holder stupid!"

Morning is always hectic especially when it's a friday.

"Angelica hurry up we're going to be late!"

"I was ready 10 minutes ago" I sigh.

"Grant come on" I reach to hold his hand but he pulls away.

He's been avoiding me since my questions about the trip with Val.

"Okay, lets go" Val claps her hands together and heads for the door.

I close my eyes in frustration, sighing in deeply before opening them again walking to the door slinging my backpack over my shoulder.

Ignoring Grant's presence, two can play at this game.

Grant's POV.

This is so fucking hard.

I've been avoiding Angelica for a couple of days or so, she's been asking questions about the meetings.

It's getting harder and harder to keep the secret, but everything needs to be perfect and Alpha James has only just signed the papers handing his pack over to us.

Tonight I am planning on telling Angelica the big news, I have it all set out.

We're going on dinner then I have a special picnic set up under the stars, I'm going to tell her.

But until then, I'm going to avoid her because if she asks questions I know I'll tell her then my plans are ruined.

I knew I was being completely unfair but I hope everything will just turn out well.

Hola!
Its 4am in the morning and this update is still late... sorry. I'm in Scotland right now.

Trust me, right now the story seems boring but I promise the next few chapters are going to be packed full of drama, I've planned everything out since the beginning.
